The Ohio Baker Who Posted ‘Politically Incorrect’ Sign on Stores Explains Why He Did So

November 23, 2015

The signs quickly gained attention from local media and Fox News.

In an interview with The Daily Signal, Schuler said he posted the signs “out of frustration with what I see in society.”

Schuler said he was frustrated by “a lack of support for our troops and police officers, and a lack of reverence for God in society.”

He decided that due to his belief in “freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of speech,” he wanted his customers to know that he won’t “toe the party line.”

He discussed the signs with his staff prior to hanging them. Some raised concerns that customers might be “offended.”

“It was not my intention to anger or offend anyone,” Schuler said. “I’m just exercising my right to express my opinions.”

Schuler called the response “overwhelmingly positive,” adding that he’s received calls of support from as far away as Hawaii and South Africa.

“This just goes to show there are a lot of people who feel way. .

I have seen the sign. Good for him. It is his belief and he is entitled to it

oooo you can spout whatever ya like in the media
as long as it's in favor of the LGBT community
against the confines of heterosexual monogomy
against the police, fire dept or military
against organized religion
the evils of a capitalist society
and how no one should have to the right
to buy quality medical coverage for that is unfair to the poor
what else...the right to bare arms bigsmile

basically, if you're against anything the liberals are for, then you're either:

racist
homophobe
anti-government
anti-American
republican

oddly, none of that sounds politically incorrect.

He coulda said, "I refuse to say, 'Happy Holidays' because I wish to spread cheer only to Christians" or some chit, folks might have issue with that....none of the other stuff has ever been noted as politically incorrect by anyone Ive ever seen, so it looks more like a foot stompin, 'look at me' attention seeking, tantrum sorta thing.

Did you watch the interview ?
He is Jewish. He got the idea because his cashier said Merry Christmas to a customer. And the customer claimed he was offended & that she should of said ' happy holidays '

His point is, if he has Chanaka & is not offended by ' Merry Christmas ', then why should anyone else be.

His profits did not go up. And he is not turning anyone away.

cant 'make' folks stop bein offended if they choose to be offended. the sign gots nothin ta do with it. Its not politically incorrect.

He doesn't care who is offended.
That is why there is a sign.
He is saying...more or less..
" I am not, we are not, going to kiss your a@@ to make you feel better about yourself, so keep your hyper sensativity & microagression outside "

Well.. That would be my sign

lol

he was politically correct in his address. sounds like a polite gent.

perhaps he said 'fork you' while penning his sign. but since he did not express such a sentiment in writing, he remains a gentleman to the donut loving public.

rofl Ooohhh.. So he didn't fight back enough ?

Or all people who resist changing for other people should be rude & crude ?

rofl

Are you working? I may hire you smokin

fight? what fight? I provide no instructions for bein rude and crude. Folks come to that naturally. Just noting what I see here. Im happy he chose to remain a kind soul with a penchant for holiday cheer. and fine donutry.

No worries. I was just joking around.
Hope your CHRIST- mass was merry.
