Is that the current logo or the old one?

I think it means it was downloaded from the site and reposted.

Lots of people steal photos from profiles in one region and start profiles in another using the stolen profile picture.

Sometimes people use throwaway emails and forget their password, also they may not have signed in here for a long time, and forgot the password to their profile, so they create a new profile, but go to their old profile and download the picture to reuse.

Websites pretty much own anything you upload to their site, no matter the vague TOS that might imply differently (e.g. Facebook which does, but leads you to believe you're in control and they don't), so they watermark tag whatever you upload to the site.

Some programs/systems just do it automatically to anything like a digital image, though. The website may not know they are doing it, they just use software they purchased that does.

It means the member didn't upload their own picture and the logo is a default

I will add that leaving the Mingle2 logo off new pictures being uploaded has just recently started. Think they finally realized that the previous photo program was distorting all pictures that members uploaded that were not square, made most people look fat, chuckle!

The Mingle2 logo use to be on all the pictures as you uploaded them and made them your main picture.. It seems they have stopped doing that therefore only those that uploaded pictures when they had that program in place has that logo...

Hope that helps.
