Is there anybody else anywhere on the internet who hasn't noticed how every "social media" oriented website or service on websites has always become more about dating, sex dating, and sharing pornographic material?

Who do you friends with?
I do get request from people I don't know so I don't accept them.

I was NOT impressed with Facebook years ago and pretty much abandoned it as worthless. The proliferation of the garbage posts, who cares about the games or how many times your neighbors fourth cousin twice removed has been divorced? lol I enjoyed chatting with a few high school chums but that wasn't even that big a draw.

And the whole post what ever you please on someone wall seems to imply endorsement I would give few people family or not. SURE WOULD NOT BE some vulgar smut merchant.

Since every scammer I see that is the first place they want to jump to I am not that motivated to bother.

As far as the gross sex and racist stuff that seems to appear on many sites is the specific reason I prefer Mingle and the moderators that really do a pretty good job deleting the scammers and prostitutes (male or female) as well as the commercials.

I don't know how far it will go but I do think many people get burned out on it and just set their filters to screen that stuff out. You can put filters and security programs on your computer; not like you have to deal with it day to day if you do not want to.

And at some point you have to let people pick their own poison. I am not the policeman for the internet. Yes I tried to moderate it when I had minor children but now they are grown I have to trust I taught them basic values and let them run their own lives.

It is the Devil's playground.

Well if you see the movie, you will understand that facebook was made for dating and chatting. No surprises there

Mostly women who just play those games, foreign women who don't speak English.
I don't friend my snobby family. cant stand anybody who thinks they are better than anyone else.

I don't accept them, for some reason or another, FaceBook keep putting them on my timeline as people you may know.
I only accept from certain people of certain age. I have mostly women who do not speak English, 5 women live in Germany.

I originally joined FaceBook before it was popular, I was trying to find people I went to high school with. a guy from MySpace reconized my name and photo there, contacted me and said our graduating classes don't hold reunions.

We understand that members at times wants to discuss about other sites. Due to our Sponsors that are affiliated with many of the different sites..

We do not feel this is the place to review other sites..

If you look to the top right of your screen you will notice that we have a Facebook Icon for those that want to like Mingle2 with your Facebook profile..

Therefore we feel this is not the place to discuss/bash other sites..

Not all sites will appeal to every person..You can poll 50 people and get half that will might really like something and the other half say they did not like something..
