I hope everyone can agree that Akira was the best anime movie of all time??

I think my other fav Anime movie would Be Spirited away.

I don't know about Akira being the best anime movie. It was alright. I didn't really care for the end though. And I have to check out Spirited Away. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Cowboy Bebop is what got me into anime, along with Digimon, yes Digimon, it is amazing and so much better than Pokemon =P

i used to watch cowboy bebop. i had no clue it was back on! that's awesome..i am gonna have to check their website and find out when it comes on..as for the composer, which shows has she composed for?

------------------

I can tell your talking about Yoko Kanno & the seatbelts. At one point I had so much music on my comp from them that i started running out of hardrive space. She is such a great composer and her music is really unique. She does Ghost in Shell, Wolf's Rain, Macross Plus II , Escaflowne, etc. She also works with Maaya Sakamoto who is a great singer .

Some other J-pop and j-rock artist that i found interesting are:
YUKI (female vocalist very unique singing voice)
Rie Fu (female vocalist)

Toshiro Masuda (composes the instrumentals, background music, & theme music for Naruto, I especially like Orochimaru's Theme & fight music, Need To Be Strong,Jiraiya's Theme is so cool)

And Great music and great anime:
Beck - BEAT CRUSADERS is one of the artist
Paradise Kiss
Nana - a lot of rock songs
Trigun has interesting songs too

And both the opening and ending for Aish*teruze Baby are beautiful songs.

You too!? I think I had every version of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack on my computer too. I have FLCL soundtrack, which is done by the pillows, and right now I'm listening to some theme songs from bleach and full metal alchemist.

BTW, Asian Kung Fu Generation is the best J-Rock band ever lol

'Number One' crack me up bigsmile 'if you want to see some action got to be the center OF A-Traction'

also like Rie Fu's 'life is like boat' - her english is so good you can't tell she's japanese.

'raw breath of danger' is so cool and scary sounding

I totally agree about Utada and Olivia. Their music just makes me feel so good inside sometimes. Can either identify with my pain or make me feel better.

I think you might like Mai Hime, if you haven't already seen it.

yeah Mai Hime is good with action too.

Lovely complex is sort of new. It was a manga first.
I saw the anime and i like the style a lot. It's a comedy about a girl who is taller than most guys and a guy who's shorter, about the size of a standard Japaneses girl.

BTW Mai-Hime as great music too - Kajiura Yuki composes it, an instrumental soundtrack

Has anyone watch elven lied (know that is a crazy series) very dark. I'm more of a shoujo/bishenen anime girl, romantic comedies most of the time. Anyhow Eleven lied has a great song opening call 'lilium' sung in latin - female vocal version is better than the 'saint's version' which is sung in chant like monks/priest would.

Bishies 4-ever
