Whats the point, what happens if you meet someone and get to like them, how do you explain the age lie.

Like wolf said, if you tell lies about your age there's no telling where it would stop.

Lie about age..Of course...
What exactly is the Lie?
Saying you are younger?, posting a 10 year old photo or getting your hair dyed every month, wearing a girdle or that uplifting bra, wearing clothes that are too tight for your sagging body or all that clown makeup.
So tell me which lie are you talking about?

Lying about your age is one thing that will always be found out in many ways. It is not worth the short time satisfaction received even trying. Truth first and take the consequences.

or not putting a photo as the imagination prefers to take a more optimistic and dreamy way all the time?

shades If you met a person of your dreams male/female on a site.......would you ever lie about your age... even a year or two?

Come on spill it.... the truthpitchfork

inner thoughts might WANT to.. but the words couldn't get past the lips..
in other words.. NO.

it really doesn't set a solid base for a future in a relationship.. if it starts with a lie.. who's to say that person could ever be counted on to tell the truth, ever!?!

the above can also apply to some men I've known laugh

on a serious note, not everyone can ignore the supposed, imposed, 'social appearance of acceptance'.. as we age, many people are pressured by media hype to 'stay healthy, active and grow old gracefully' by appealing to our vanity with a variety of 'necessary' products, pills etc. sadly..
however in my case, I can! I very rarely wear makeup.. don't own a girdle scared .. wear comfortable, relaxed fitted clothes.. I am who I am, I refuse to be dictated to by those thinking they know whats best for me on how to exist in this life.. I've a good head on my shoulders and, having survived this far, typically follow my own best instincts, although when in doubt, I'm not afraid to inquire from experts!
I'm simply not afraid to show my true self, and feel IF the right person were to come along, they'd look past the exterior into the core of WHO I am, and accept me AS I am! happy

that said, I've fell prey to the vanity of my aging reflection and up to last summer.. was dying my hair blushing mind you.. I still wear the occasional push-up so the skin beneath the girls can get some air from time to time laugh

I have to admit lying about my age. I look very young and most people think it's a fake. Soon after conversation I tell the truth.

Yes at first because age can be a mental block and we are as old as we feel and appear. That no longer matters once someone knows us. Hmmm sounds good to me.
