Hello,

I had a great friend on this site who disappeared 3 days ago. Whenever I want to see his profile this message pops out: cute69khan's account has been deactivated.
Is there any possibility that he was banned from the site and he can come back later?
If he was banned is there a way how I could find out for how long?

If he was banned then no there is no way he will be able to come back..

He could have deactivated on his own and you would get the same message.

And no we do not discuss anything about another members profile if it was banned or they deactivated on their own..

Since you have only been here a week there is a possibility that if he was banned it could have been a scammer instead..

Sorry but that is about all we can tell you..

I had a similar issue. I met two persons who told me about this site. Today i decided to find them and the account has been deactivated, which I found odd. The person would have told me if they closed their account.

I was reading the reviews and that was one of the reasons why I didn't sign up when I first heard about the site. Accounts being deactivated for no reason or fake/scam profiles. Hopefully, my luck will be great with this site.

The site does not deactivate anyone without cause.
Some folks deactivate every time they log off.

For suspected scammers, upper right on every profile
you will see 'Report This User' for convenience.

That's always good to hear. Have there been cases where bullying has taken place towards anyone (I.e . falsely accuse the person of abuse or poor onsite behavior)?

What is the research process for such cases.

Is an account upgrade the best way to avoid scammers or issues?

What if someone is reported and not a scammer?

Bullying is easily reported as are all posts and/or
emails of concern.

All done anonymously to protect everyone's privacy.
Anything in the forums is acted upon instantly.

Forum misbehaviors can be seen by everyone and are
adjudicated and acted upon. If someone gets reported as
a scammer and is not, nothing happens.

We simply adhere to the rules:

I cannot think how the upgrade would improve either of
the 2 things you mentioned but you can check that here
as it has some great features:

Thank you for the time you have taken to address my concerns and questions. I found them to be very helpful. Based on what you have stated, I believe at least one of my friends were targeted falsely and did not engage in the behavior as stated in the posted policy.

You are wonderful :)

I had the same thing happen to me ... I had been talking to someone for almost a month now..I didn't have any flags go up that he was a scammer and he never asked me for anything.. Yesterday we were chatting as usual back and forth.. He sent a message and I replied, but 15 minutes later I sent another message and got the message that his account had been deactivated... I was just confused about it... What sucks the most is he seemed like a really nice guy....rant

Hi everyone,

I had my account deactivated. I did not do it myself. The message I get when I try to login says it was automatically deactivated and that mingle2 is researching. If it is found out that it is unwarrented then the account will be re-activated soon. Or something close to that. The problem is that once it's deactivated, you can not contact Mingle2 to ask what the problem is. Nor do they bother to contact you to let you know anything. Further, there is no phone number or website to talk to anyone from Mingle2 with. I have created this temporary account in order to contact them with but more than likely they will not investigate the other account or talk to me about it because it is considered a different member account. So what the moderator said about them not deactivating a members account is not true. Mingke2 has yet to contact me and help me with my case. I am definitely not a scammer and I am on this site for the right reason. I am not a paying customer so I suspect that Mingle2 has deactivated because of that. My username is Whereismylioness. Can someone try to contact me and let me know on this account what message you get?

Thanks

anyone can "seem" like a nice person over the internet... so how do you know he wasn't talking with 20 other women at the same time? suspicious behavior is suspicious behavior...

all you really know is that he was nice to you, you don't know if 15 other women thought that at first too, and now were complaining about him wanting them to send him a plane ticket, or money for his hurt dog...

scammers know what to say to make you trust them, otherwise their wouldn't be so many of them...

You got the auto response from a program, when it gets to a human
they adjudicate it one way or the other. All of us have been hit
with the non-human glitch so kindly refrain from calling the
moderators liars.

There are a lot of triggers to the program that caught your profile
that are there to weed out spammers, think of it as the TSA of the
site. We live with it because it works, the glitch being non-
spammers get caught also.

In theory, once you make the list, it won't recur.

So how dies one get that problem fixed?

Then why won't anyone from mingle talk to me and let me know why I've been deactivated for no reason and why don't they have a published phone number or website for me to contact them and why can't I contact them through my profile since it gets deactivated also and why does it take so long for the case to get to a human (as you put it), it has been over a week. There are more questions than you have provided answers for. On the other hand, you just may not know.

Indeed.

My point is, if I have been deactivated, then how can I get on this forum and get to your link, which is the contact us feature on the profile. I appreciate your attempt to help, but the contact us feature needs to keep working when the profile is deactivated. Or there needs to be a customer service number or link outside of Mingle2.

Oh I know all to well about the scammers. but he didn't seem to fit that bill... I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time in my life.... but he never asked me for anything....

as far as him talking to 15 other women, I think it pretty much to be expected on this kind of site... I talk to other men on here as well.. after all we weren't talking about marriage.. lol... but yes he was very nice to me...
