Standoff with riot police in park as people throw bricks at officers in Milwaukee Around 100 young adults pelted police with bricks and torched property in Milwaukee’s Sherman Park on Wednesday night, local news channel TODAY’S TMJ4 reports, citing a witness. Police from several MPD districts, along with Milwaukee County Sheriff’s deputies, made several arrests at the scene, according to Fox6Now. As many as 100 teens threw rocks and bottles at Milwaukee police officers and a Milwaukee County Transit System bus late Wednesday night, according to Milwaukee police officials. Milwaukee police blocked off streets near 38th and Burleigh streets, where a group of people formed. Deputies from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office assisted. Some officers wore riot gear. Milwaukee police officials say a rock or brick was also thrown through a window at a nearby gas station. No one was arrested. Officers in riot gear respond to Sherman Park for group breaking windows, throwing rocks at police
Posted 12:19 am, June 30, 2016, by Deandra Corinthios, Updated at 09:45am, June 30, 2016 MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police officers were called out to Sherman Park, near 39th and Burleigh around 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday night, June 29th for a large disturbance. Police say a group was throwing rocks and bottles and had damaged a window of a nearby gas station and the window of a Milwaukee County Transit bus. Along with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, MPD was able to disperse the crowd. No arrests were made and no officers were injured. MPD is working to identify the people involved in this incident and is coordinating with the Sheriff’s Office and the Parks Department to ensure additional resources are deployed in the area. This was the second time police were called to Sherman Park in one night. Around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to the park for a group of people lighting a trash can on fire. That group cleared the park around 9:15 p.m. But officers were back on the scene in less than an hour.

odd.. i tried to search(3 times) "milwaukee riots" on facebook, and it crashed my firefox three times...
never happened before... that's very odd... someone else try it and see if it happens to them... it happens with anything use of the word "riot"... |

does facebook create pages for local city news stories? did google search,, fox6news (probably Milwaukee channel) has it on their website yes, all the news agency's have a facebook page... i saw the fox6news(about the rioting) on facebook before it crashed firefox... i have noticed, whenever they refuse to mention who's behind the riots or crimes, it's muslims, or someone with muslim sounding names... I've been to 8 different websites, and not one pic of the rioters...just pics of police standing around, doing nothing... something is being kept quite here.. |
