how exactly would that work?

go out to eat and who pays?

how would they be getting ready for the date? no shower?

same clothes as yesterday?

what if the date goes well? invite them back to your bench
or box in the alley?

What if that person is just sofa serving on relatives sofas
what would be some of the reasons someone would go from relative to relative and sleep on their sofa until they kick him out?

Not everybody wants to live the way most people in society are expected to live. Some people don't believe they should be slaving for the elite. Not having any responsibilities or belongings can be quite freeing.

Some people just can not stay in one place for very long.

Some people love to travel but don't have the means.

Then there's the standard mental illness, and drug and alcohol thing.

I can't believe the conversation or that more people haven't commented on how nasty it is.......

Most people even today after all the right wing presses coverage don't realize at all how professional street beggars are or how much money they make and spend on drugs and alcohol. Obviously this makes all homeless people human trash and worthy of our derision because they chose to be hopelessly addicted and to live in and eat filth in the freezing cold.

That is without mentioning that a significant though small number of homeless people are children that have run away from terrible circumstances or who think they have.

I am sorry for being all serious and high horsey but can't we pick on BMW drivers or the England team........

actually there are a significant amount of homeless that are mentally ill and for whatever reasons, are not longer in a facility or an adult group home

Also, don't forget some working people choose to live in a car/van, shower at work or the gym and avoid the hassles and costs of renting/owning a place.
