Yahshua is a compound word/name. It means Yahweh's personal name Yah and shaw which means salvation. Yahshua means Yahweh saves.

Names in those days had specific means, not like today. Today people are name Joe, Bob, ect just because the parents like the name or thought it would be nice, or whatever may be the reason. But the names they gave their children had specific meanings to them. And yes his true name would never have been "Jesus" or at least not the true pronunciation or writing of it as they did not have the letter "J" in their alphabet. They as in the Hebrew/Aramaic languages. Which is also spelt as YHWH, for if I'm not mistaken, they has no vowels or specifically no vowels in their names can't recall which. But the names/words through out time and translations have been "transliterated" in their pronunciations for better understanding of the reader.

Which is also why the following verse references a name to our Lord that is never referenced again that I know of. Different "name" in specific mention, but is the same kind of ordeal in them saying someone's "name" is this or that in accordance with God and or their culture. It's called once again transliteration from an unused language anymore, there grammar and what not does not match up to ours. So that's why words or sentences are "transliterated" including also specifically names as again their names weren't just simple Joe, Bob, and Sue.

Matthew 1:23

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

But here's a little source on the more direct subject of the thread.

Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus. It means "Yahweh [the Lord] is Salvation." The English spelling of Yeshua is “Joshua.” However, when translated from Hebrew into the Greek language, in which the New Testament was written, the name Yeshua becomes Iēsous. The English spelling for Iēsous is “Jesus.”

A name is just that.....a label. It is what that "name" represents in your heart and mind.
You can call"God" by Yahweh, Allah or any of the hundreds of names associated with the creator of all.

As with any name, it is just a representation of person or in this case a deity that you know. So you can "KNOW" him by any name you wish to call him(or her), it is what that name means to you that counts.

Your completely off topic with all this gibberish scriptures!
Not one of these answers the OP's question: What is "Gods"real name?

Depending what language, what culture and what beliefs you have, a name is irrelevant.
It's what you believe to be "God" that is important.

Was already made quite aware of what was happening to the thread, why the need for pointing fingers?... don't answer, it's a derogatory question and will only lead to more off topic discussion...

But as for the OP question.

"God" can actually be anything you allow it to be. Not saying it all has the same final answer, or all beliefs lead to the same place. But, "God" means "something/someone that has authority over another(s)" So one's God could be money, women, men, fast cars, and so forth.

But back more on topic,

Yahshua and Yahweh relatively the same being, same reference

Yahshua means Yahweh saves. And as the previous post before "Yahweh" in the long run is translated as "Jesus" down the road of multiple translation from hebrew, greek, english, ect.

Which makes sense because Jesus said "I and my father are one".
And also makes sense with when Jesus says

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

And further makes sense of Genesis 2 which is different but the same as Genesis 1. Genesis 2 goes into more detail of Genesis 1, but the biggest difference you'll see is Genesis 1 says God did this or that, then Genesis 2 says LORD God did this or that.

Genesis 1:1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 2:4
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

Because Jesus Christ was God from the beginning and created all there is to create. For again Jesus Christ is our God almighty in the flesh. He loved us so much to take the time, energy, end else to come to Earth in fleshly form to take up the cross and die for you. So yes, to answer the specific question of the OP thread, Jesus Christ is the "name" our God/creator.

Yes they aren't that different, but I'm assuming name from name would be a different situation. But nevertheless is different from language to language. And same for Jesus, Yehweh, and so on. The name itself doesn't "change" just because the spelling or pronunciation does.

????

As I said, the name in itself doesn't change. Only the pronunciation and therefore the spelling there of changes through different languages... still the same name though. Last comment on this as this is leading the thread off topic.
