A Russian/ESA Probe Shiaperelli, will land today at 7am MST.
The probe seperated from its Satalite 3 days ago on 10/16/16. Its purpose is to sample the Martian atmosphere for methane, specificaly, living organisim methane. The probe will communicate with its satalite its findings. The ESA is seeking its own answers to the possibility that there may be living beings on Mars. As NASA has been tight liped about the matter. After 3 days the probes batteries will expire. They should have used American battery tecnology. Would have lasted for years. Links below. Check ESA The ESA TV programme will be broadcast on this page in two parts on 19 October: 15:44–16:59 GMT / 17:44–18:59 CEST 18:25–20:03 GMT / 20:25–22:03 CEST 20 October – status report and first images A press conference is scheduled for 20 October at 08:00 GMT / 10:00 CEST, when a mission status update is expected, along with the first images from the Schiaparelli descent camera.
