I make a good living not a millionaire, try to stay fit but not an Olympian, have a degree but am not an expert in my field. I am just "normal/average" and I find it so hard to find that right person to spend the rest of my life with. With so many people and cultures in the Bay Area, why is it so difficult to find the bagel to my coffee?

......... why is it so difficult to find the bagel to my coffee? i tried the bagel thing once, and donuts too....but it just didn't feel right for me....someone suggested i try out the jelly-filled ladyfingers and guess what......nirvana..........i've been faithful ever since...

... I've recently found out I am very liberal :) I didn't realize that for many Americans that means complex ;) I believe I have reasonable expectations but I see your point. They may not be reasonable to the other person and vice versa.

People who don't live in California probably have a different image of your area. They assume there's no limit to great, liberal, good-looking men for you. You meet them everywhere you may go. And, of course everyone works out and is thin.

There is and there isn't... I love Berkeley for everything it is, but what I don't see a lot of are long term marriages and families. I grew up in a small town and am used to those values. It is difficult to find someone similar in a larger city.

I understand you and agree with you. I was recently speaking to a female friend of mine, just an ordinary friend and someone l have known for the past ten years. She told me l am a complex person. I was very surprise at her expression because l know myself as an easy going person, very naif , easily trusting and open to all. Not knowing that am very complex in love.

I think even when you find mr or mrs right, the level of complexity still determines weather it will last or not. So cutting down or being less complex may pay

Always welcome 30 sweetgal. As l mentioned l was surprised to know someone thinks am a complex person. I just wanted to do things right and maybe perfect for us all. At the some time l was also happy with her feedback. Because it will help me to be less complex and take it easy on partners.
