I've dated enough widows to know they are very set in their ways. Unfortunately they are all looking for a copy of their lost love...slaphead flowerforyou
Hope you will do well.

YES
Can is a question of ability.

Would I want to be involved with a woman with excess baggage?
NO
I don't want stress or excessive drama in my life. I have no need of it nor do I want it.

There are men that thrive on drama and stress. It is possible you may find who you seek but just understand that most men do not.

Good Luck

I have had similar experiences.

In many ways being widowed and being divorced are similar.
> A relationship has ended
> There is an empty spot
> Life changing event

Those are pretty common.

When seeking someone else it is important to understand a few things.

> I may look like him but I am me and will only ever be me
> I may not like the things that he liked
> I may not react the way he did
> Of those times there are similarities, the reasons for those similarities will be different than his

We all found things we loved about the people that have left our lives. We search for people that demonstrate those same qualities.
When we find that person, do we see that person as who they are or who you knew.

Is it fair to your new love for you to only acknowledge the certain aspects that resemble your missing spouse? Is it fair to you?

My advice is to find someone that is nothing like your dead husband. See them as they are and build a new relationship with that person. Not better, different.

It is not a dishonor and your memories will still be cherished. The two of you can set aside a day or time to honor him if that is what you need. For the rest of the time, live in the moment with the one you choose.

I think it depends on the baggage weighing more heavy than being widowed
Good luck and best wishes

NEW YOU or RETURN TO SENDER blushing

No luggages or excess baggage, just bring
yourself only, fresh and reborn

Important !..Have a return home ticket with ya,
just in case you can't handle the heat & pressure.

That's just in case we start the Martial arts
training on the Drunken Monkey whoa style or
the Southern Monk's fist Shaolin style.
whoa

SERIOUSLY NOW.
Living in/with the past carries lots of
weight and has lots of unwanted bagages.
ONLY, WHEN & IF YOU ARE READY,
Start fresh and new, and leave the past behind.
