My ideal mate is an ENFJ : My perfect partner is an idealist who is dedicated to making the world a better place

For ENFJs, romantic relationships provide an opportunity to make the most satisfying type of human connection. ENFJs crave relationships that are intimate, transformative, authentic and deep, and they probably enjoy falling in love more than any other type. They are nurturing, expressive, kind, encouraging and supportive. When their partners are feeling troubled or depressed, ENFJ partners will do everything in their power to bring the smiles and sunshine back into their lives.

Despite their natural warmth, ENFJs have strong values and a well-developed sense of their own dignity. When they feel a need to defend themselves or correct the mistakes of others, they can be sharp-tongued and direct in their observations and criticisms. But they see conflicts with loved ones as a product of misunderstanding and not bad intentions, and that is why they never stay mad for long. Their standards won’t be compromised, but neither will their commitment to love, and their inherent gentleness prevents them from doing or saying anything that will cause lasting damage.

The Downsides
It is very important for ENFJs to feel noticed, appreciated, cherished and loved—often, as in all the time. This isn’t inspired by insecurity, but rather by their idealistic notions about what love should be. They won’t ask for these things, however; they expect their significant others to offer them automatically without any prompting. So when normally warm and affectionate ENFJs suddenly become quiet and distant, there’s an excellent chance they’re feeling unappreciated and unloved and are worried about the state of their relationships.

Where to Find Your ENFJ Mate
ENFJs are driven to help others, and can be found in any setting where they might have the opportunity to change the world. Try volunteering for a charity or nonprofit and you're sure to encounter a few, especially if the organization is involved in guiding or inspiring youth.

In school, ENFJs are often found studying humanities or social sciences. In the work world, ENFJs can be found in a wide range of careers, but are usually working in an organization with a humanitarian mission and are often in a leadership role.

I've done the online personality tests. I've done professional personality tests for management and marriage counseling.

Personality test results are great information if they are accurate. I have my most recent results posted in my profile. Nobody seems to care.
(I'll be rewriting my profile as soon as I shave the beard and post a new updated pic)

Sometimes, matching a personality is bad. Too many likenesses can cause issues. There needs to be some differences to allow personal growth.

Another thing to remember about personality tests is that your mood while answering the questions can skew your results. It is always best to take at least 3 different sourced tests at different times and different days and find the similarities in all.

Love never matches it merges.

Personality traits need to complement each other and how folks negotiate their differences also helps shape outcomes

Agree

Compliment does not mean match. Many people think they must find a match. In the case of complimenting personalities a match may not be exactly duplicating but more of a filling in of the gaps.

Edit to include an example:

Two people match in the fact that they both like to have their backs scratched. Neither one likes to scratch backs.
A better match would be one person that likes their back scratched and the other likes to scratch backs.

Sure somebody would care now that you've said it....

Yep, like laws of attraction and repulsion?? hmmm....nope were not magnetic poles...or maybe just because similarities are too boring....and differences makes it exciting like eating exotic foods ( frogs, lizards, rats, roaches and the likes...lolzzzz)

Hmmmm.....it got me thinkin'...if love is merged it can't be unmerged...so nope..it's not the right term....though it can be submerged biggrin ......maybe assembled is better coz it can be disassembled too ( as such in divorce cases)....bigsmile .....hmmm....(just playing with terminologies lolzzz)

If it really is LOVE why would it need to be unmerged?

it can be disassembled too ( as such in divorce cases)

To me that implies that you think of LOVE as something that is going to fail so thus you must limit it as a safety measure.

That's Sad sad2
