Yup that's why I don't answers numbers I don't know.

I don't answer them. If it's so important, leave a voice mail. They don't.

I find that if they come at the right time, they'll often get me out of boring conversations.

Solicitors/Scammers I deal with these every single day at work it is annoying for sure...
We have no choice but to answer the phone.. And some of them no matter how many times you tell them you are not interested they just keep on talking..... For me third time I tell them they keep going I just hang up... As far as my personal phone if I don't have the number as a contact or it is not a local area code I do not answer it then go and block the call.. |

TxsGal is right. Apparently the caller's supervisor drills it into them not to let the person called to get the caller off their script by allowing them to talk. When they insist on talking over me, I have to hang up, even if it's the FOP, which is exempt from the Do Not Call list.

most of them are dialing numbers using program. How your number gets on there who knows. They probably downloaded it from the "Do not call" list. Whether you answer the phone or not doesn't matter the program still saves your number as a good valid number. And it will keep dialing that number. Over and over.

But it does them no good to call if it is on the block list they can call all they want~~~never goes through~~

But it does them no good to call if it is on the block list they can call all they want~~~never goes through~~ You mean the block list on your phone? If you put the number on your phone blocker it doesn't matter. The dial-er generates a random number each time it dials out, so the block list on your phone lets it through. I have used a blocker they will block the number that you put in but they cant block every possible number. |

i don't recognize , i don't answer...later, i google the number if no voicemail is given...many times, the number has already been documented on google...that block feature of smart phones is great...and it works much better than that swiss cheese do-not-call list...
