To be honest, there should be another vote on brexit, Nigel Farage is a coward whos only mission was to destroy the pact then he high tailed it out of there like some puzzy that had no plan to begin with whoa

Back on topic, media is very very bad, as MsH said, they create news and fail to report it properly.

I agree with both, farage just got carried away by the attention, trouble with having another vote is it defeats the way it's done.
The media makes me cross as I've said in other threads, new York times and Manchester bombing, they seem to think they are in control!

With all due respect, fox news is not a news station. Fox is a magazine station. See fox appellate court brief which they argued they could not be held liable or to the same standard as a news station. Fox won. Therefore you already erred when you said you get your news from fox. You get there alternative facts and their opinion not facts.

Your "facts" are lacking "on more than one level."
"Rumors have circulated since at least 2009 claiming that the Fox News cable television channel fought successfully in court for the right to lie, misinform, or deceive viewers. The claim that Fox News legally won the “right to lie” has been repeated across the internet despite its being factually inaccurate on more than one level."

And Snopes is regarded by some as having a "liberal slant."

in political news

we often discuss peoples standards/values/beliefs in terms of conservative or liberal,, but as Igor has mentioned before there are fewer people who fall strictly in one category OR the other as there are those who toggle among and between the two

of those who do fall very devotedly and strictly within one box or another(I call them extremist) ..they seem to have media sources who pander to their ideals on the regular

for instance

Fox seems to report to conservative extremists
HuffPost seems to report to liberal extremists

This does not mean that either source does not also provide valuable information, it only means they can be counted on to slant that information towards a specific narrative every time,,,

Do you believe the integrity of our news media(by this I mean all methods of media from cable and internet to published news ) is diminished by an OVERABUNDANCE of extremism pandering to a certain consumer base?

Do you believe the value of our news media , considering such pandering, is declining due to an undereducation of the average consumer in things like

1. Discerning fact from opinion?
2. Discerning truth from allegation?
3. Understanding context?

and might we as consumers influence media to create news with integrity by becoming more educated on these things and 'pandering' ourselves to those sources that still try to report the news and not create it?

someone told me long ago ...the news is bought ... after all this time I believe them ... I like RT America... Russian television but most get to tell their news the way they like ... so you have to like what most say or like others do not watch ... so many with out cable they only see what main stream media is saying ... or read whats left of the news papers ...an know internet ... so most only care bout where and what is happening in their own states or towns ... and the H*ll with others... let alone what is happening in other country's ...
