Emotional extremes.
Long periods without blinking.
Foreign objects in the eyes.
Certain gasses in concentration.

I express my emotions as they occur.
If the emotion causes tears, I let them out.
I am secure in my manhood enough that I can embrace emotions without a feeling of shame.

I cried at the theater while watching Godzilla (2014).
I had tears streaming down my face.
It was because I was so intent on the film that I failed to blink enough to keep my eyes moist.

I cried at the end of The Notebook. It impacted my memory of my life experiences too closely and caused an emotional release.
The woman I was with said it made me human.
I have re-watched the film and not cried.
Not because the association was different but because I had already embraced that emotion.

I've cooked a dinner for a lady before and cried while cutting up a potent onion. She asked me what was wrong. When I told her it was the onions she thought I was hiding something that was sad. It took a lot of talking to change her per-conceived notion. Not because I was ashamed of crying but because she had it all wrong.

I cried when I realized my marriage was ending. I cried for my loss when it finally did. I cried for my children and my unborn grandchildren that they would never know "Grandpa and Grandma" as a loving couple. I don't cry about those things anymore because those emotions have been released.

I cry tears of joy when my children and grandchildren drive all the way down here to visit me. When my disability check arrived with my settlement I cried with joy when I saw the amount and at the relief of debt that was going to happen.

I cry whenever the emotion needs to be released.
There are many reasons why I cry.
I'm human and humans have emotions - I embrace them and let them play out so I can regain my contentment.

Edit to change "the" to "they" because it didn't read right after I posted.

Romantic movies.

Very good chocolate.

And very old whiskey.

Come on, now.
You needed a hankie with that corned beef on rye.

It was the horse radish..

When I was a young kid, I had a few operations that left me in extreme fear of hospitals and doctors. When I was older and married and had to get a minor operation and I was in a panic. My husband was no help. I went into myself and thought of my movies and thought, ok what would Rambo or Clint Eastwood do. I got really tough and that was the only thing that got me through it.

I cry when I get ready to go see a movie, spend the time getting ready and getting everything set. Fighting traffic, standing in line and then realizing the movie is going to be terrible and the tears stream. Or if I go through the check out line with a few items and the person in front seems to test the limits of human endurance with asking every question known to man as if it is a social gathering, or if I stub my toe on the side of the bed.

I've seen men cry, they are human beings with emotions, just as women are. We all cry for different reasons.

I guess for me, it's not so important what makes a man cry. What I am more interested in is how a man would like me to respond if and when he cries? I suppose it depends on the man.

I was referring to the part where you said you have no more tears to give. If the other happened, well, that's just wrong...even if you were stupid.
