worst part, it's not the cover. It's the surrounding concrete part. It juts up out of the road. Majority of traffic has been going around it whenever possible. It is a bad bump. I had to drive over it yesterday, and thought I blew a tire, that's how bad of a bump it is.

Sounds like the ground around the concrete manhole ring has sunk! I know what you mean tho scoob, it's the extra traffic noise it creates

Humm you would think they could get it right after the second time.. I mean really all they have to do is dig around it put in the concrete ring (which comes in different heights) in order to bring the manhole to the level of the street and then redo around it with either the concrete or asphalt on the street... Not that hard really... Ohh and yes use to work for a construction company that had to do that from time to time due to AT&T cable when their manholes sunk and left a dip for your tires to hit...

Thing is, they've done what TxsGal explained. Twice, but didn't redo the asphalt part. Repaving is how the manhole got messed up in the first place. When they chewed up the road, they got down too far on the manholes and sewer drains. Part of the reason why I said this road crew is a bunch of idiots....
