Hurricane Irma just reached category 5 status. It doesn't look good for the Islands or Florida, including the Florida Keys.

Yes, not much stands a chance with a direct hit. Back in 1960, hurricane Donna wiped out most of the Keys and was a category 4 hurricane!

It's still too early to know the direct path. So far it looks like and they are anticipating it stopping North of Cuba and then heading North. Possibly straight up through Florida.
Florida is currently has been declared a state of emergency as well as all the Islands between Florida and Irma. |

Praying sweetie! Hunker down! This is a nasty one. I heard this is Harvey's psycho ex gf  Yes, they're already telling visitors they have to leave. The way it looks is that it's going to take it's pit stop right on top of the Keys before deciding to go East or West. I don't have the heart to leave the kittens to fend for themselves, they are only 9 weeks old and aren't used to the outdoors. My sister said to take just one, so I told her to go in my room and choose for me which one gets to live. I'll be taking all three. I feel grateful that we at least get a chance to prepare and pack. But sick to my stomach because there's such a high possibility of coming back to nothing. Only so much can fit into one pickup truck for two people. |
