Just heard he passed away today. My I have so many broken bones tryin to be like him as a kid. He will be missed. When it gets cold I can fell all of the beaks and think of the stupid stuff I tried to jump on my bike. God Speed Evil!!!

Wow! Did not know that. Yeh I tried to immitate the man when I was a kid..got a few broken bones myself.
 But the man was FEARLESS!! Not many ever like him in the world. He was unique. |

some of my fondest memories as a child were watching him on TV and watching my brother and his friends trying to be like him...
was it that?? or watching them get FIXED at home in the garage? (Neighbor was an orthopedic surgeon) He was 1 of a kind for sure! |

Oh man!!!! and I was just out in Idaho by the Snake River Canyon and was thinking of him....we didn't get to go, but I heard you can still see where they cleared away for the Big Jump.
May he rest free from pain now!!

His stunt cycle was one of the coolest toys ever. If we knew in the 70's that they'd now be selling for over $400 maybe we wouldn't have been trying to jump them over our houses!

I had his stunt cycle. Was way fun. Was him for Halloweeen several years. Loved Wide World of Sports. Always have Evil on there.

Seriously, I grew up in the northwest, watching him on t.v. Everyone at some point tried some stupid stunt pretending we were him. May he go to what ever stunt person heaven there is out there. |

 R.I.P. to a legend! i met the man once and i must say that he was very cordial but you could just tell he was a guy you didn't want to piss off. he was an inspiration to all young daredevil wannabees. he was an inovator and a legand whos legacy will live on forever! GOD SPEED EVEL!!
