13.8 thousand deaths by bombs AROUND THE GLOBE in 10 years, amounts to about 1380 globally per year

https://www.statista.com/topics/2267/terrorism/

in the US alone, nearly 13000 gun related deaths per year ...

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/homicide.htm

relatively speaking, ID say Guns are much BIGGER PROBLEM, at least in the US.

There are certain guns that should be banned but definitely not all of them. This is how the higher ups divide and conquer. You cannot take isolated incidents and apply them to the entire nation and all its people. There are millions of responsible gun owners. Why should they pay for the crimes of the few? We in the United States have the right to bear arms. Our forefathers in their wisdom understood the necessity of this constitution when it was created. Once this constitutional right is taken away, we will be defenseless against the corruption of government, the elite and all the higher ups. We, the people, still have power over corruption and those in power, all the establishment politicians. They still have a healthy respect for the citizens of the United States when they know that we are able to defend ourselves against their corrupt laws and regimes. Once our right to bear arms gets taken away, the corrupt politicians and government can easily swoop in and enslave us to their will.

I also used to believe once in my naïveté that getting rid of all guns would solve all the violent problems. This is what the corrupt politicians would like us to believe as they have us willingly relinquish our power for the ostensible oft repeated reasons of safety and security. Do not fall for it. We are sheep being led to the slaughterhouse. CITIZENS, KEEP YOUR GUNS! DON'T BE STUPID!

I have always been a proponent of balance. The side that believes there should be no type of guns for anyone is as naive as the side that believes there should be all types of guns for everybody. Guns are a product. They are manufactured for profits, and like any product, they are going to be and should be subject to regulations.

If accidental tobacco use and intentional tobacco homicides were to be an issue. I would agree. For now, the harm people want to do to their own bodies should remain their business.

Tobacco has been a problem for peoples health for years!

And people have a right to have a gun, which is also a personal chioce! That is their business as well.

it is their business until they intentionally use it to take the lives of others, then it is a problem.

Wow, all those human deaths and it doesn't make a dent in the human overpopulation. How do we cull 5 billion people to make the world better, Tom? grumble huh

Interesting perspective. How many deaths are ENOUGH to justify us taking action on a thing?

It is still their business! That's what criminals do sometimes. Also mental ill people, who get their hands on a gun.

Companies that sell tobacco, would they be considered taking the lives of others too !! No.

Criminals will always get guns. Probably very few gun owners are criminals.

whoa

Yes, we will Always disagree on gun control. laugh All day and night.

We dont really disagree on it. I have said before rules and regulations rarely eliminate ALL incidents of a tragedy, yet they can greatly reduce the horrible odds for potential victims.

For instance, bad drivers will always cause accidents, but it does not mean that it is futile or no point in making sure the cars being manufactured are not sent to market with faulty breaks or exploding engines. Making products safer before they go to market is not going to eliminate the harm that products may cause, but it will at least REDUCE how often or easily.

I could not agree more..... We must be afforded the right to bare arms as part of our constitutional rights.... But, we have to demand as a united people that a fair and realistic gun control screening process is brought about..... I fail to understand how our lawmakers can not work together, and put some kind of process together..... If we can put men on the moon, we should be able to save our future generations....

I've already written a bunch on population control in another thread.

The problem isn't how we cull 5 BILLION people.
The problem is can we?
We value life. We take safeguards to protect us from natural culling events.

The way I see it, the only way to remove 5 BILLION people from this planet is to properly fund space programs, space and interplanetary colonization efforts. If more of us were working on an exodus strategy, we would overcome its barriers. But, we refuse to spend our money on it.
NASA is poorly funded. It should be one of the biggest community efforts, highly funded.

We will wait till the problem gets so huge we are threatened as a species before we concentrate on a living solution. Then it will be too late because we were not properly prepared. It takes time to build colony ships that could house BILLIONS of people. It takes dedication, research and innovation to overcome those obstacles. Its been 50 some odd years since we stepped on another celestial body. We are going backwards. We should already have a habitat on the Moon and explorers on Mars. We should already have habitat space stations in high orbit and between Earth and Mars. We should already have research stations at the Jovian and Saturnine systems. We don't because we are greedy and small minded. Its gunna bite us in the a** and it will be our fault.

you need the detail of the age of rips too......there are million people dead by the gunpower causes in about 15 years but no one giving any details whats the age of those death. if the causes was happen around the age of 13 then the NAA should taking some reaction to it. like civiliant gun's recoil control or the guns shooting speed control. it's about 9000 people dead per every year. it's not a small sum...dude equal about the population of 7 towns........before the WW1 this sum means war dude.....smokin

As an outsider what would any of your reactions be if your child or loved ones were murdered in a situation where it could have been prevented by tighter controls?
