Anyone in here raising any trantulas? Thinking buying a few, but I'm interested in talking with anyone that has some experience with them... The first few I'm looking at are the Trinidad Olive, gooty blue, and a Mexican tiger rump... Please post anything you know about caring for them please..

I had one years ago, looked a lot like your picture of the Trinadad.

Sorry moe, I don't remember much other than he really liked small lizards. He was pretty docile and tame. I'd let him crawl up my arm, it would freak my sister out, but he never bit me.

the trantulas have different personalities, some are very calm, while others, like the blue one pictured, are considered mean...

I got mine in Florida when I was a young adult. It wasn't the real poisonous kind you find out West.

They're cool to watch. My sister was taking care of mine when I went out of town and it burned up in her house fire so I didn't have it for very long.

aww, sorry about the fire losses... Yea, they're most active when feeding, interesting how good they are at catching bugs

Thanks!

Yes, very interesting. Mine was really fast and it seemed to pounce on it's prey.

Well hope it goes well for you when you do get some.

I would love to have one for a pet. I really like the blue one, I never saw one that color- too bad it’s MEAN!

The blue is stunning. But I'm a catch & release person, so no clue on pet advice.

I guess the best advice is don't get bit...bit they usually warn people multiple times before they try...

Wow, i do not know about who sells them but i do know that those are beautiful..... As an arachnophobic i can tell you that i would not be keen to having them around me... but as a lover of nature i say... they are truly beautiful.... thank you for sharing...
