Primary voting taking place today.
Turn outs usually less than 20%
Many don't like to declare their party.
Very few States have independent registration. Louisiana does.
It's important to vote city, state level. Before these. Canidates get to Washington DC.

Imo

A commendable understanding that the foundation determines the structure, Toodygirl5.

I agree that the low level election process has a big impact on the end results but there are other factors involved that change the 'best' official into what we end up with at the higher levels of government.

Time in office changes them.

Think of it as a tub of dyed water.
You add pure water to the tub of water that has been dyed and the pure water becomes dyed.
The only way to make any difference and to keep the pure water, pure is to empty the entire tub, wash it out and refill it with pure water without any dye.
Change all the monkeys at once.
