The super eagles of Nigeria did qualify with a game to spare.
Unfortunately,or rather surprisingly the US Male soccer team could not qualify . I am used to seeing the USA at the world cup-having been following since Mexico '86 . Other notable abseentees will be the Netherlands,four times champions Italy. |

Ah well, English fans, you can't tar them all with the same brush.
I was one of the stewards when Liverpool lifted the old UEFA cup 18 years ago. My local club Shelbourne FC played friendlies, for example Leeds United or Milwall, and there was no problems whatsoever. But I heard, when the national team plays, it is supporters from lower league causing mischief. |
