Known killer, starting to take many lives in Illinois alone.
No real solutions to stop the killer yet. People choosing unwisely to smoke.

sad2

My X smokes a lot of that stuff.
Especially when she can't get the real.
She laces it with crack.
One of the reasons she is now my X.

Again showing why just to legalize and tax the real marijuana.

That is sad!

However, it is very common these days, unfortunately.

Don't think it, I know it.

Things were fine till the 1930's, until big tobacco and alcohol companies, (after repeal of alcohol prohibition) banned together to get Marijuana, along with other schedule 1 narcotics put on a banned substance list.

Synthetic marijuana is bad, mmkay.

But seriously, the compound that originally was used for synthetic marijuana was something that a scientist created in order to study the biological mechanisms of the endocannabinoid system. It was never never meant to be used to get high. Anyone who smokes that stuff is asking for trouble. Just smoke real weed. Even if it's not legal where you are, stick to weed.

When people have additions they often make poor choices just to get their hands on what they are addicted too.
Weed/marijuana or whatever. Just need to seek professional counsel/help.

Not many people actually get addicted to pot. I mean, its possible to get addicted to anything from food to video games. But, pot is no more physically addictive than either of those thing.

If we are ever going to get serious in solving the issue of addiction, we have to treat it as a health issue and not a criminal issue. We spend 10x more money locking up drug offenders as we do treating them, so it's no wonder we haven't seen any real positive change. Portugal did things right, and they have literally 100th the overdose rate of the U.S.

It is a mental health issue.
Other than that, I agree.

The 'addiction' can be physical but its the mentality that leads to the addiction. There are many addictions that have no physical effects on health. They are addictions all the same.

I can use my phone to make a phone call but not become addicted to my phone.
The addiction occurs when the mental state requires whatever the addiction is, in order to find perceived contentment.
People that have true inner peace and contentment are less likely to become addicted. Much of that peace and contentment stems from healthy self-esteem.
