I don't agree with many of the definitions here, butterflies and all that, because love isn't something you only feel for a signifacant other, it's something you feel for family and friends, and sometimes even strangers you meet in passing.

"Love is a many spledored thing, love lifts us up where we belong, love gives us wings, all you need is love!"

True. But love is also putting yourself through hell, pain, and anguish if necessary to keep the one you love from enduring the same. It's protection when they need it, and selflessness when they don't expect it. Mostly, I think love is overcoming all obsticals, physical, finacial, and emotional, as a union rather than an individual acting for their own good.

Love is butterflys in your stomach when you think about them, your heart leaps when you know their calling, you laugh at them when their doing something dumb, something you can say without saying anything, makes your nervous when they are around you, a jolt that goes through your body when they touch you, makes you think about them 24/7, something that will make you go to the ends of the earth to find them, something that makes you give up everything for them, and it makes you light headed when they say something sweet or romantic.

Love is not sex.

I AGREE.LOVE AND SEX ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

I agree. Love isn't an emotion. Sometimes it's a choice that you have to make; the hardest one, I believe.

that's infatuation, it's puppy love and it's short lived and a poor comparison for the real deal (or at least I hope so, never really found the one i LOVE)
