Why do girls friend zone a guy? Don't even feel like getting into a relationship now :(

Women are usually only interested in 1 guy. The rest are in the friend zone. Guys have lots of women they want to be with, so they don't understand.

Finding a mate, for most people at least, isn't at all like buying a car. When you buy a car, after you figure out which make and model you like, you have a lot of different ones of that make and model to select from. If the first one you like is sold by the time you get to it, you feel fine taking the next one on your list.

It doesn't work that way with people. The fact that you nominally fit the list of what someone is looking for, doesn't mean that they will find you desirable as an individual. This is simply something to be accepted as part of being human, regardless of whether it makes sense to you logically or not.

And by the way, there are alternatives to the so-called "friend zone." But you would find them a lot less pleasant.

Better to be in the “friendzone” first rather than being written off in any zone. A relationship based on friendship is for me a very good anchor that could make any relationship last. It is ok to be honest about your true intentions but sometimes that could get in the way of really knowing each other. One would almost always put his/her best foot forward to get closer to that person not knowing each others flaws and weaknesses thus the relationship could be doomed from the start. JMO

You should not hide anything, if the other person means something to you. Applies to both friendship and relationship. JMO

Does she then tell the other guys that or does she lead them along as backups if her 1st choice doesn't work out?

sorry ss but the way friendzone is being used here and that is typically the accepted form.
it's permanent and a guaranty that nothing will ever grow from it or progress to more

The Chemistry is not there at first, however, that could change if he has a nice caring personality. If the man is willing to wait and see may take a while.

women friendzone guys because they are not attracted to them

A woman decides within the first 30 seconds of meeting a guy, is he lover material or friendship material

If you're one of those nice guys that caters to her every need of course she kicked you to the curb, she sees you as a friend, one of her girlfriends, someone shoulder to cry on etc.

Sure some will tell you its better to be friends with her and stick around but why? why rub salt on the wound.

The odds of her coming around is as likely as winning the powerball... TWICE.

I have seen friends become lovers ... so nothing is really permanent SN . As like a happily married couple will not always stay happy forever sad2 i know being friend zoned means being able to still stay in another persons life . So where would one rather be? In or out?

i've said it before and i'll prolly say it again.

whether it's him or her doing it...

the friendzone is the emotional equivalent of the physical friends with benefits.

all the best of the emotional support but none of the risks or attachments.
just like fwb is all the physical bennies without the risks or attachments.

personally i think the friendzone is more detrimental to the one in the zone. and the worst of the 2

You know for the first time I realized something that different cultures have different meanings to friendzone.

I dont know why that escaped me, yes in certain cultures being friends, establishing a trust assuming there is a mutual attraction, you get to know each other and a romance may or may not blossom.

But in the western society particularly in American society, its a fast food world, its either now or never.

Gone are the days where you see the person you want to marry and you take your time getting know to them, there was no hanky panky until there was a ring on the finger or a promise to put a ring on the finger and that could be months to years.

Today on average if sex isn't happening by the third date, you're kicked to the curb.

Women that friendzone guys same thing, he has 30 seconds in the begining to make a case for himself, if the cant he is relegated to the friend zone and he better order the furniture.

Hence why some many of these guys are going overseas to meet women

being friends and growing into a relationship is totally different than being put in the friend zone ss. when stuffing someone in the zone the most common form is ... i really like you but it will not be as more than friends.

I really like that definition. Friendship is possible over a distance and through phone calls, video chats, etc. But a relationship needs some sort of physical presence. So friendzones are not a bad thing at all, I suppose.
