From what I see in people struggling is lack of ambition. They don't want to be bothered with adding more income. Unless it's a welfare check or other entitlement.

I see it as a lack of wisdom and knowledge.
You can blame the parents up to a point but when the child becomes a parent its time to function as an adult, a responsible adult.
As a parent to my grown children with their own families, I know they make their own choices. I can offer them my wisdom but can't make them choose wisely. That's on them.
If I have to step in to keep them or my grandchildren safe, they know I will but while I do so, they also know I will be wanting to know why they made the poor choices and what they are going to do to assure they don't make them again.
Its what parents do. This is because that baby that lays there helpless when its born will alway be your child...always. Its the product of the choice you made.

And before anyone argues about being raped and getting pregnate.
Its always your choice (or your parents choice) to live in an environment where rape can happen.

The bottom line is Choose Wisely.

From what I've seen, the mothers living in poverty arent thinking of the future or educating their kids. They are after men. Everything else is 2nd. That how they get all those kids with nothing but welfare as support. A full time job and parenting small children doesn't leave much time for a romantic life. But it's the romantic life that is the constant.
