IT may be that Kanye only cares about Kanye and his brand, something that may cause him to feel such a connection to Trump. Just like Trump doesnt care about whether people will 'turn' on him. they both count on their loyal base to be blindly supportive and that has always been enough to retain their status and wealth. What I think is that he is bored, he has so much that he doesnt know what else to do with his life, so he is making a run at politics by following Trump's lead and piggy backing his blindly supportive base.

The economy was great when Clinton signed nafta. It took a few years to feel the effect but that doesn't mean it was a mistake of the next president. When confronted you go back in time before we were even born to dismiss the issues we are having today.

Trump is president. The economy is great. Voters need to focus on issues like immigration reform, tarriffs, welfare reform, security, infrastructure, and freedom. So far Trump seem to be doing the right thing on all of those while the democrats block him every chance they get.
