Congressman Paul Gosar's siblings support opposing candidate in stunning political ad originally appeared on abcnews.go.com

Most political ads follow a familiar formula: tout accomplishments, public testimonials and wrap with the mandatory message of endorsement. Arizona congressional candidate David Brill's ad is no different -- until those criticizing his opponent reveal their last names.

Brill is embroiled in a contentious fight against incumbent Rep. Paul Gosar, who represents Arizona's 4th Congressional District. But he won't for much longer if his siblings have anything to say about it.

Brill unveiled a stunning campaign ad on Friday in which Gosar's own brothers and sisters come out in support of the Democrat -- six of them.

It sounds more like a family feud then a political statement.

it could be.
it could be both.

or, it could be just as stated.

but, however you choose to look at it, the family has spoken and made their opinions clear.

they have made their statement, made it strongly, and spoke it clearly and voluminously.

And this should interest people...why?. Is this the first time this has happened?, where family members have disagreed with their relative politicians views?

Or is it because he is a republican

Had this been a Democrat, MS would never have posted it.

it's of interest because its political news.

lots of things on the internet may not have been posted but for the perspective of they that posted them...wth does that have to do with anything?
do you feel like you made a relevant point?

if you shared her political views you would have never posted that silly remark.

(neither of us knows that for sure anymore than any of us knows if she would have posted it if it was a rerepublican...we can only speculate. j/s )

And it is political news when some family members have different political views then other family members?

That happens in most EVERY family.

And I am speculating.. had it been a Republican, she never would have posted it. Nobody on the left would have.

Just calling it the way I see it .. because it is obvious.. agree or disagree ;)

I let others obsess over political labels. I wasnt paying any attention to whether this person was republican or democratic. But this is the politics thread, and it was in political news. So like any other political topic in these threads, which many people many not care about, it happens to be the case that they are discussed none the less.

I wonder if I had not been the one posting, if there would have been the who cares response, but I wont speculate winking

You weren't paying attention to if he was Democrat or Republican?....Ummm o.k..a little hard to believe.. but ... o.k.

I would have called in on anyone from the far left who posted it, because that is why it would have been posted in the first place ( Rep.bashing)

And You should know I have no problem calling the left on that ;)

Librals label everything on this. Political forum! Never giving their President even a little credit for helping the US Economy.
How lame is that !!

So Paul's siblings don't support him, doesn't make him wrong for a candidate.

Just like Bernie not endorsing his son for the Congress seat he just ran for. Because of the lack of support he lost.

thats odd, because I cant imagine ANY political topic where it could not be asked 'why should people care'

yet, this is not the first time I receive that response when I begin a thread(which I rarely do in politics, for this very reason, I try to only participate and respond to the things OTHER more 'acceptable' mingle posters take interest to post)

I looked for something in political news and posted it. I tire of ALL the 'liberals' this and 'libtards' which I dont see the same defensiveness about or attack of from certain people. You will not see that trend in my posts. You will not see me basing my opinions on what party someone is or on if someone has liberal or conservative views, because I have my OWN opinions about PEOPLE on an INDIVIDUAL basis. There is plenty of generalizing of liberals on here without a peep from the ones who are so on edge when an alleged 'liberal' says something about anyone else.

and then they call others hypocrites .... but ok.

It was never claimed that it made him a bad candidate. It was an interesting Political News story. My only opinion was 'ouch', because it must hurt for someone to have their family campaign against their run.

i love how you begin your remark about liberals labeling everything by labeling liberals as labelers.

i always find it interesting when people begin their remarks or attacks by calling out others for what they themselves are guilty of... in that very same moment!
how, in attempting to make their own arguments they begin by becoming whatever they're arguing against.
and, how very clueless they are (or seem to be) about their own behavior.

it seems to be a very popular online activity.

This entire thread was a attack from the beginning
It was started by someone on the left to bash the right
Had the person been a Republican then they never would have started the thread.
Because fact is..they never have when it has been a Democrat at the center of the negative topic

Do you really think people don't see that and don't see the agenda?

No. It wasnt. It was started by an INVIDIDUAL with INDIVIDUAL logic and opinions who found an interesting political news piece and posted it in the politics thread.

The hangup on political 'sides' is not part of my MO, like it is SO MANY OTHERS who start post without a peep of 'who cares' or 'you wouldnt post it if ...."

The fact is, I rarely start threads, because of the constant distraction that is interjected about which 'side' does what.
