Apologies for the back-to-back posts...
But I'm feeling really good right now. Managed to reconnect with an old friend from Mingle. I took an off-chance that the email notification was still turned on, and the risk paid off. Now I can catch up with a good friend I haven't chatted with in years. Pure awesomeness. |

Does it really matter to anyone? Should it? Most of what gets shared on here isn't really of importance to anyone else. We don't even know each other personally, it's all virtual. Yet, it can still feel good to share :) It's when you need people to care that you should take some time to think, haha. Or find a coach maybe  Believe it or not, I care....even when I don't really know someone. For instance, regardless of whatever flaws or obstacles Stu may be facing, I have the impression that he's actually a person with a good and caring heart. But if he or anyone else is like me, sometimes it's caring too much that gets in our way. I empathize way too much. I actively need to practice a level of detachment to avoid overempathizing. Anyway, sometimes it's a good practice not to take anything on the internet too seriously. Yep, totally agree. I remember the amount of people who supported me and helped me get through an extremely tough time when I was going through my previous breakup. He was a narcissist and I'd suffered so much abuse. Now I didn't know any of these people personally, it was on a spiritual forum, but the support and caring and interest they gave me was amazing! It really helped me get through that god awful period in my life. I shared lots of photos from doing up my new rental, the one I live in now, and they all liked it, cheered me on. It was wonderful! Apart from my parents I had no one in my life who cared anymore, cos that's what narcissists do: they alienate you from everyone, including family if they get the chance. but he'd never been able to get to these people on that forum. If it hadn't been for them... Because of them I didn't feel alone at all. I felt supported, knew they were there for me ifever it was difficult. That's why I always get a wee bit PO when ignorant ppl say that online contacts are meaningless. THey're not.  |

Pretty darn good. Was feeling sore earlier but the six mile bike ride and soaking in the hot tub seemed to work out the kinks.

Pretty stuffed. Couldn't sleep so I warmed up some soft pretzels and overdid it a little. But they were soooooo good.
