So personally i think my profile is good compared to the ones im seeing where almost nothing is filled out in the profile/interests etc.
Someone recently wrote me to say that they thought i was too personal in my profile. So just wondering what others thought-did i put too much in it? thx

In my opinion, your profile text is concise and gives a sense of your personality and interests. It gives someone interested in writing to you several conversation openers. I think that's a good thing.

Honestly? I feel it's a bit bare.
2 sentences about you that are very average. Everyone is positive, likes a good laugh etc. So very little "new" info, doesn't tell a lot about you.
The rest is rules & regulations, which tends to be off-putting and/or attract the very ones you think you are repelling.

As for the photo... I think it's one from the 80s? I'm personally not a fan of using old pictures. Show who you are now. And you do that with other photos, but not with your profile picture, which -I feel- is misleading.

i do that sometimes just to check facts
its like when ya read a profile and see they posted they live in 2 different places (ie one up top then a different one in the comment area) , and i have had a couple tell me a 3rd place when asked where they live
