what do you think ?
should they leave it alone with the spring forward ...

I have always heard had something to do with the farmers ...

then I heard had something to do with the coal miners ...

and if they leave it this way ... there is way more good to come ...
out of this change ...

I say leave it ....spring forward for the last time ...
and be done with it ...

I agree, leave the change as it is. Either way, Spring Forward, Fall Back, I am tired the following day and I am sure other people are too. frustrated

There are 2 assumptions I believe affect the time change. The majority of working people work during the day with a normal day starting between 7 and 9 am. Based on an 8 hour day, springing forward gives them another hour of daylight after work. For most people, having that extra hour in the morning is useless. In the winter months, with the earlier darkness, people would be commuting more in the dark with the increased risk of accidents.

The second has to do with children and school. If we didn't fall back, more children would be at the morning bus stop in the dark. The other way to deal with that would be to shift the hours school is in session. Unfortunately, that would be more difficult for most working parents.

We did change it a few years ago so it is more uniform when it happens along with increasing the length of time we are on DST. I'm happy with it just like it is!! If you normally go to bed at 10pm, then reset your clocks after dinner tonight and go to bed at your new 10pm; not a big deal!

I'll just say....the hour change really makes no difference with all the LED lights that are out now a days.
Had a farmer blinding me (with the LED's) while he was out working a field last night as I had to go by.

It doesn't happen here in the UK for a few weeks yet,but when it does it takes the farmers ages to reset all the animals and crops, it is impossible to explain this to a cow for example so the poor thing is a whole hour out of sync until the winter yawn

Time change here tonight ... what do you think ?

The things I use to measure time change themselves, so it doesn't really mean anything to me anymore.
I just live normally and time changes overnight.
I usually change the rest of the clocks (like on the oven and microwave or in my car) as an afterthought after a couple of days.

I have always heard had something to do with the farmers ...
then I heard had something to do with the coal miners ...

I heard it was started by Abe Lincoln during the first mole people invasion of '38.
The fastidiously punctual mole people attempt an invasion biannually in different regions of the planet. Unfortunately they always show up late or early so have to call the entire thing off.

I say leave it ....spring forward for the last time ...
and be done with it

I say put it ahead or back multiple hours at random times, decided locally, during the year just to see what happens.
