I do write songs & ditties bigsmile glasses

Song writing is nice...Its a bit like poetry but with another dimension...flowerforyou

Exactly, unfortunatly my songs come out a bit too dark usualy for folks around here, too much about vampires & death I suppose;^]

Dark or not...they will have a meaning and feeling behind them...that's what I like...people expressing themselves

True that, and I'm in a new & bigger city now so they may go over better here;^]

guitar-inspired by kurt cobain

His Lyrics were good...I like Incubus and the Strokes at the moment

very good, but since i started playing i realized most of the songs were way too easy. now i try and play harder songs like house of the rising sun, sweet child of mine, and free bird

well , I must say , like alot of things I will try anything ONCE ... so I play drums, ONE live gig , with my older brother ( quite the guitar player, even still ), and 2 other buddy's .. but have not played in YEARS ... laugh
opened with a Uriah Heep song, and dry ice ... the crowd went DEAD SILENT, then almost blew the roof off...awesome experience, thanks for returning me there....

I play everything but accordian. I like accordian. Its just that well I know my limitations. And I just can't get speed and dexterity out of a squeezebox. You think rock n metal sound funny on an accordian you should hear bach.

Who plays a musical instrument, and what inspired you to learn?

I play Guitar...no particular inspiration, but was inspired by someone on here to pick it up again after many years of neglect (Thanks T)...also play the Didgereedoo...love the sound....so haunting, but not the way I play it...Sound like an elephant with a stomach problem...laugh

I play guitar, bass, and keyboards, and have dabbled with a few other instruments....been in some bands....I don't really know what inspired me to learn other than the sheer need to do something creative....

But I have everything and I play everything. My home looks like a music store. From past experience I hide my drumsticks so newbies are not tempted to be stupid. "Cool! Drum set!" and guitars everywhere and deep purples 'smoke on the water' and nirvanas 'smells like teen spirit' are not allowed in my home. I will kill you and feed you to the sharks.

Aye...I play the flute...I absolutely love it...

I started on the clarinet a little over a decade ago and taught myself the flute a couple of years later. I was going to do a music minor in school but the school was expensive and I left it after a semester...the next school I went to didn't have that choice. I've also taken piano lessons...have a keyboard...my mom has an upright. And I have a trumpet I barely know how to play... And I played alto sax for a musical once because they needed an extra one...lol...we transposed most of the music though to clarinet and/or flute

I want to learn how to play a piano lying open on its side with a mallet like blue man group does. That intrigued me. They're good. They can play and get music out of everything from pcv pipe to twinkies.

I play the conga drums. Played with a African dance group/class in Denver for about eight years. I can't read a note of music. Currently rehearsing with a Latin music group here in MI. If you check my pics, I am with Adetunje Joda, from Nigeria master dancer and teacher. He is the man.
