What are some of the 'better' fighting films out there.

It doesn't matter the style (personally I like MMA) as long as the film is about fighting and is labeled in the genre of action.

Also, if you have a must watch actor like Bruce Lee, Tony Jaa or Jackie Chan, I also collect films featuring actors.

I have a pretty good collection of fighting films as it is but I am always on the lookout for something new.

There are a lot of movies in this group.
John Wick is a GREAT example!
I have them.
What is the best part about them?
I find the John Wick series rather predictable.
I do like how he always seems to do a head shot to complete the kill.
John Wick is a rather fantasy take on the hitman.
I prefer films a bit more realistic.

For instance, Vince Vaughan.
When you think of a Vince Vaughan film ya think romantic comedy.
Brawl In Cell Block 99 (2017) let me see Vince Vaughan as something more than a romcom actor.
I was astounded at his performance.
The action scenes are flat out brutal but the character is completely likeable.
I would love to see him in more such roles.

Right now I am watching Stone Cold (1991) with Brian Bosworth.
Typical 90s action film.
Still fun to watch.
Ifn ya seen it it might not leave an impression based on current action favorites but its fun and entertaining.

Little known rare film is Kid (1990) with C. Thomas Howell.
Wasn't what I was expecting, a slow burn with a decent payoff.
Out of character for a C. Thomas Howell Film.
If ya haven't seen it give it a watch, without distractions.

What would YOU say is the best Jason Stathum action film?
What would YOU say is the best Jean Claude van Damme film?
What would YOU say is the best Jet Li film?
What would You say is the best Gerard Butler film?

Let me throw some names at you.

Antonio Banderas
Chow Yun-fat aka Yun-fat Chow
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Danny Dyer
Donnie Yen
Gary Daniels
Karl Urban
Mark Dacascos
Michael Jai White
Oliver Grunner
Scott Adkins
Thomas Jane
Tom Hardy

I'm tracking these actors.

There are more, many more I am not tracking yet but are just as interesting.
Tony Jaa, Dwayne Johnson, Salma Hayek, Liam Neeson, Michelle Yeoh, Taylor Russell, Aaron Eckhart, Michael PeΓ±a, Michelle Rodriguez, Ray Liotta so many I can't name them all.

The Bond movies with Daniel Craig are pretty good.

Highlander the series and movies with Adrian Paul as he really knows martial arts & katana fighting. The first few episodes you can tell he's not that good, but he seriously studied it as a life-style and you can tell.

Steven Seagal, mr Aikido.

The Steven Seagal movies are pretty good.
I did a little karate and kung foo (wing chung ) some years ago. The man's the real deal.

He is indeed. Trained in Asia somewhere even as a kid I believe. Got degrees that had not been reached by any white man before, and if memory serves he started his own school.
What I have always wondered about is how he walks. He has a very stiff back. Normally people with serious back problems walk that way, not well-trained martial arts people.

Jet Li is another one. He's in one of the Lethal Weapon movies. I start to drool when I see him in action, haha.

My favourites have to be Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Sammo Hung but also Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeo plus lots of other Chinese action stars. I think Arnold Schwazenegger has done some great mindless action films like Commando etc. And there's always Antonio Banderas in the Mariachi films.

Just got a copy of Anna (2019) (starring Sasha Luss)
Reviews are saying its like a female John Wick film.
I haven't watched it yet, maybe this weekend after the Friday the 13th Marathon.

Scott Adkins earlier films were low-budget garbage but recently, he's been getting more interesting film roles.
Boyka: Undisputed (2016) was actually pretty decent.
Accident Man (2018) made me think of him as a new Jason Statham.
I thought Avengement (2019) sukked tho.

He has some films coming out:
Ip Man 4: The Finale (completed)(2019)
Barton Geddes

Seized (completed) (no date listed for release)

Altar Rock (post-production)(2019)
Marco

The Debt Collector 2 (post-production)(2020)
French

Run Of The Hitman (pre-production)(no date listed for release)
Ziker
Legacy of Lies (post-production)(no date listed for release)
Martin
The Intergalactic Adventures of Max Cloud (post-production)(no date listed for release)
Max Cloud

Sammo Hung

(Sammo Kam-Bo Hung)
Wow, lots of credits, never focused on him but he's been in many great films!
Will be checking his career out in more detail, thanx!
Lots of supporting actor for Jackie Chan.

Dragon Tiger Gate (2006)
Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse
I first saw it with sub-titles but got a copy of English dubb.
I liked it. My kids liked it. Even my daughter liked it.
Nicholas Tse teams up with Donnie Yen again in
Raging Fire (2020)
Nou fo (original title)
Shan "Donnie YEN" is a righteous cop who's is admired by the police force to have solved many cases. One day, his past comes back to haunt him when his sting operation is attacked by a mysterious group of criminals led by Ngo "Nicholas TSE", his former protΓ©gΓ©. Ngo was once a talented cop who admired and respected Shan. However, a terrible accident sent him to prison three years ago turning him into a furious man with the aim to kill everyone who wronged him - including his former mentor.

Steven Segal has really gone downhill, have you seen any of his recent films? Bleach!
Same with VanDamme.

Right now I am watching War (2007)
Jet Li & Jason Statham.
It also has John Lone who y'all might know as Ricky Tan in Rush Hour 2 (2001)

Also, some of the WWE sponsored wrestlers have fairly decent action films, John Cena, Steve Austin, Rowdy Roddy Piper even Hulk Hogan back in the day. Look at the screentime Dwayne Johnson is getting. Dave Bautista seems to be in some pretty big budget stuff too.

Vin Diesel
Idris Elba
Paul Bettany
Kurt Russell
Samuel L. Jackson
Thomas Ian Griffith

The Assignment (2016)
Following an ace assassin who is double crossed by gangsters and falls into the hands of rogue surgeon known as The Doctor who turns him into a woman. The hitman now a hitwoman sets out for revenge, aided by a nurse named Johnnie who also has secrets.
Michelle Rodriguez as Frank Kitchen (wow)
