I have no problem with you smoking, it is your life but you cannot smoke in my presence as it adversely affects me. I also seem to have a problem with the drinking question. I generally have a couple of drinks every day so I drink often. That does not make me drunk every day but some conclude I must be since I drink "often". The only way to really know the situation with drinking or smoking is to ask!!

I grew up in a family where nobody smoked. I have a hard time dealing with it.

My father did not smoke at all but he had a younger sister who smoked. I thought that was odd.

I had quit for a year, pretty much the whole year of 2018. I started smoking again last December but forgot to change it on my profile... this post just reminded me, so I updated it. oh river, you did very well for a whole year. Why start again? Rhetorical question because as a non-smoker I will never understand. Take care my friend as someone who smokes like a chimney when I quit before I felt worse and when I was using a vape I have never felt so bad not going to give detail but I'm sure you can imagen haha.

I find the question of whether one smokes to be rather arbitrary at best. I respect the honest answer of 'often' way more than the mitigated 'occasionally' which in most cases turns out to be untrue, and the person finds ways to incorporate their 'habit' no matter what. Smoking is one of the personal traits that can be a deal maker or breaker (both pro and con), and to under-play it, or worse, not answer the question at all in hopes someone will like us so well that they will just deal with our 'habit' is not being up front and honest. I assume a 'no answer' on that question as they do smoke, but just do not want to admit it. Yes... those lying smokers!!

I smoke like a brushlands fire. Some, only smoke, when they're involved in other activities, such as drinking at parties. .So, as wimpy as it seems, "occasionally" , does have it's place. Yes, but do you pour your beer in the full ashtray and drink it? Tea anyone? Have you tried chili with ashes? I think yellow teeth and fingernails is sexy with that cough. I freeze my lung oysters and shoot them at crowds with my slingshot. I use my coughing spells at night so I can wake in time to not pee the bed. Still trying to find a use for those pesky filters.

If you call 9-1-1 at 2am, they will not bring you an emergency pack of smokes. If you flag down a passing fire truck when your lighter runs out of fluid, they get mad. Hospital ERs do not provide emergency smokes. Doctors will not give you an Rx for smokes but you can get them at a pharmacy. My GF cleaned my stove and fridge, didn't know they were white? Do you prebrush your tongue so you can then suck all that tar and nicotine off before it gets ruined by toothpaste? Do you tell guests if they are not going to smoke, please step out on the porch. When you run your ceiling fan does the breeze blur the TV? Why would anyone buy Kings? 100s are more smoke for the same price. Are you still angry over FSC? Did you divorce because your wife threw away that garbage bag full of Marlboro Miles? Can you name all the subliminal images on a pack of Camels? Are there more than 3 ashtrays in every room of the house? In your last will and testament do you stipulate you must be buried with a full carton of smokes and a full box of 'strike anywhere' matches, just in case. If yer short on cash do you have a corn cob pipe so you can walk the sidewalk and get a bowl full from the discarded butts? Do you avoid public buildings because of no smoking laws. If you MUST enter, do you have a smoke ready to fire up as you walk out the door? Have you ever licked the walls of your shower because the tar and nicotine runs down when it gets wet? Have you mastered the art of smoking WHILE you shower?
