I was just mildly curious about was the intended recipient of that rude comment. Presumably it was aimed at the believers who don't understand how and why Darwin is so correct. Recently two small gaps in his theory have been filled with new discoveries.

Honestly I don’t know. His profile says nonreligious. I suspect it was motivated against the putting down of other (non)religions.

And about mind control I was joking.

What would be more interesting is defense against mind control.

Mindfulness meditation can be a defense against brainwashing manipulation.

Sensory nerve patterns and lines of communication that constantly deny ideas and other relationships, especially if they are ones you have deliberately sought out, can make you feel like you are losing your mind and become more vulnerable to resorting to unquestioningly accepting a person’s concepts and wishes, making you an extension of their mind and body as a tool.

On the other hand, letting go of obsessive ideas and relations can awaken the remainder of the brain and make you more in control.

The test to see if you’re being mind controlled is to see if your actions are all deliberate.

All spiritual life in God during our physical lifetime is eternal.

Perhaps I am missing something, but am very happy in my life nevertheless. I don't belive in god or the devil, so all that stuff about mind control is all in another language that I don't speak - goes right over my head!

There are plenty of dangerous people in religion, so that is not a bad idea. You are not missing anything. Like you said, it is just another language.

rofl

Jabba might not do what we want to do with him. How about instead we act like the same devil we are trying to get away from toward him, all because he does not conform to our preferences for how to live, which for some reason makes us feel uncomfortable.

How about instead we act like

I think that is something most of the civilized world does.
We "ACT" instead of honestly addressing our beliefs.

The non-religious act on some type of personal protection against society.
The religious act due to constantly being less than their doctrine and fearing personal accountability from their congregation.

Its all just acting.

What I find is much less stress in my life if I just am as I am and stop pretending to be something I am not.
I don't have to "act" because I have nobody I 'need' to impress or satisfy.

Back when I was working, I acted so I fit in with the work environment because I needed that job to provide for my family.
I acted the part as I was expected.
Now I have no such obligations so I do not need to be socially accepted.

When I was religious, I felt I needed to do the 'Amen's'(Our Father's?) at the right time for acceptance so I did.
I acted the part as I was expected.
Now I have no such obligations so I do not need to be socially accepted.

I live as I choose to live and believe as I choose to believe.
I don't need to act anymore.
If you don't like me as I am, go elsewhere.

Please disregard the waving character I posted earlier. I thought it was universally recognized as welcome was not aware that it looked like an offensive gesture. For the record I was not actually waving my open palm, but was wishing you welcome.

So again, welcome on here.

.

Although we do not all live with the same knowledge of good and evil (worldly), all languages and ways of life are in the same truth, and show the very same truth we seek!

The consequences you speak of are only within society or life in the world, and do not reflect spiritual relationship with God. Forgiveness through Christ exists to counter any illusion of such judgment.

Yeah, and genuine actions are the best.
