I love gardening. I only have a tiny garden with a few established plants, prairie flame bush, two rose bushes and a climbing Jasmine with a campanula border. I do have a paved area with pots that I like to change the contents of throughout the year and from year to year. It's a great joy for me.

I have a small flower garden in my front yard. Many mixed flowers. I'm not that good at gardening but I love flowers. Marigolds, Carnations are easy.. And a few others.
My son has a vegetable garden. I tried that couple years, didn't do well. My back yard is not that good ground. |

When I started with it, you could have thrown pots with the soil it was so full of clay and although I have improved it over many years, it's still not great . |

Lilacs should be blooming soon, one of the best smelling flowers. I like them too. The neighbor has tulips in Bloom. Beautiful colors. |

Currently not much flowering... I had daffodils, then tulips, my broom was flowering beautifully for weeks. Grape hyacinths, periwinkle. But all these have gone/stopped flowering.
I think the only thing that's blooming at the mo in my garden is rosemary and the forget-me-nots. I have seen lilac in bloom in gardens but I haven't got that :) I'm waiting for my roses! |

I may plant plum trees in the next go round.

Iβm not good at gardening but in the past had a massive garden with lots of flowers, lilac trees and vegetable patch. I grew potatoes, lettuce, leeks, carrots, peppers, raspberries and strawberries.
I havenβt been in my present house very long but the gardens are laid with stone and I have decking so if I wanted to plant anything, I would have to use tubs. That was the plan but with all garden centres closed due to lockdown, this may have to wait another year. |

I went to cover my plants yesterday evening temp was to drop to 30Β°.
There was a little bird hiding behind my flower. It didn't seem to be able to fly away. It started running fast away. I hope it survives. I thought, birds know how to put their Young out, to fend for themselves. Unlike many humans, who let them stay til 30yrs sometimes. |

I feed birds behind my duplex and have perennials in front. Clematis, purple cone flowers (echinacia) yarrow with white and yellow blooms, hen & chick plants. Not a lot of dirt. when i had a house with huge yard i planted lots of flowers every spring. yes, I love the smell of lilacs.

I can't plant flowers in my yard. The ground is very hard and too many rocks. My back yard is not that good ground. So I plant in front yard. People can see them better anyway. Lots of people live in this area. |

A couple of years ago, I tried to plant flowers next to my steps in the front yard. I used a rake and a shovel. The ground was so hard that I gave up.

cat, if you keep it watered every 2-3 days, you could get a pot already planted and set it by your front door.
