A rule of thumb I use is two bucks for the first pizza and one more for every pizza after that.
Adjust up or down based on the service of course. |

having been a pizza delivery guy... $2 is like "oh... screw you"
in all honesty, 4-5 bucks is a nice "all right then, have a good night" anything over $5, and your getting your pizza faster next time

Agreed, two bucks, but I give more or less depending on the service itself. If it's quick, pizza's hot and person is polite, I may give more.
And once when it took them 2 hours to deliver, four phone calls and a delivery person who made a smart comment, I added exactly 1 cent as tip to the charge. As they say, there are two kinds of tipper: the one that always gives the same, and the one that tips based on the service. I'm the latter. D. |

I tip 20% or more, based on whether it's relatively on time and still hot. I also base on weather, holidays, etc.
