When I listen to Barack Obama give speeches he reminds me of a mix between JFK and Martin Luther King Jr.? What about you?

that's a bold pair to compare him to
i hope he wins or at least gives ole johnny boy some hard competition but his lack of experience on the hill might play against him

at least you didnt give the colin powell comparison my buddy always gives him: "he's so well spoken"

If GW Bush can be elected president, Obama's inexperience should be no problem.

Robert Kennedy

You know all 3 of these men were assassinated, I hope that the time of assassinations is behind us, but the future looks very dark to me, or maybe I'm just a pessimist.

I am the LEAST racist person you will ever meet, so please noone take offense to what I'm about to say:

I have NO problem with a woman or a black man becoming president, but I'm not sure the rest of society will see it that way if Obama gets into the white house. Speaking of assassinations, thats what I'm fearing if either takes the seat in the oval office. Surely there will be far too many people that aren't accepting of such a change and if Hillary OR Obama become president, we may very well see another assassination. I do NOT wish to see this happen to ANYONE, but lets face it, we've not come as far as we would like to think.

PERSONALLY Obama reminds me of OSAMA... He wouldn't put his hand over his heart at some big rally thing they had during the pledge of alligance or the national anthem. Any citizen has the right to refuse to do so, but I feel that if you are running for office then you should be the most patriotic mother f*cker in there. I don't want someone in the white house, representing our flag that doesn't show pride for what it stands for.

I can't respond without knowing what specifically you are talking about.

what part isn't clear? The part about the fact that if either of the two take the white house then there will without a doubt be an assassination? Or the part where Obama reminds me of a terrorist?

I think hes his own person/politician, and yes he "very articulate" and i mean compared 2 everyone

I dont think the jfk thing is necessarily a good comparison, i think as time passes we tend 2 see only the good or only the bad in public figures, remember: jfk escalated vietnam (bad) and nixon reopened talks with china (good)
as time passes we will continue to see jfk as a very good president (better than he was) and nixon as a very bad one (or worse than he actually was), shades of grey dissappear with time

Obama is a whole new kind of politician, not completely defined by the public yet

I agree, hopefully the debates will bring out more character in all the candidates so that we can know more about who they really are.

If you disrespect or soldiers by not putting your hand over your heart during our song and pledge, you are no better than a terrorist. Millions of men and women have died to keep that flag flying, and he can't show a little respect? I don't care what his skin or religion are, the man just doesn't sit right with me, period.

My guess is that those last pictures are AFTER the first one... I am all for him speaking and doing patriotic things if thats what he says he's doing, but he also needs to show the basic signs of respect for our country. I still don't have a good feeling about this man, not even a little bit.

All politicians have something unlikable about them However, from what I've seen of Obama he has worked hard to help the poor and to lift up people in his community. This world is torn and I would love to have a president, democrat or republican who can unite us instead of pursuing tangential wars in far off places while we suffer at home.

chandler.....

In reference to Obama, he doesn't remind me of anyone, but I note the media is annointing him as the reincarnation of J. F. Kennedy, Jr. I saw something on MSNBC where the commentator was talking about Obama as if he were the second coming of Christ. Good grief! I have to wonder about some of these media commentators. Wait until Obama starts falling behind in the polls, then the media will "crucify" him. Sorry, couldn't resist that one. laugh

Assassination? Hillary is the one that will go if that should happen. She is such a polarizing figure. Polls indicate that half the country practically hates her. I suppose that when the question was thrown to her about how she feels in reference to her loss in Iowa, she gave the correct answer. It was something to the effect that she was sad since nobody likes her. She was kidding, of course. However, I don't think the people of Iowa were when they showed her they don't like her by giving her third place. laugh
