Very good question and I would like to know the answer to that as well. There, apparently at least on this site, are too many shallow men. However, the good news is....there are other sites, and some people on them are nicer. I don't think that's true from the ones I've met .. but then I am here for friends not a date

Give me the links to those sites Ok ok - I know that there are some guys who likes girls who takes care of themselves and look good..(I see that line ALOT) Girls like the same too - but for me I think the "Good Looks" have to come from the heart,not the face!! If a man is good,caring,respectful,loving...then I don't give a damn about his looks!!!

THROUGH your sweet, loving, kind, compassionate thoughts of others on here and in life. To go beyond the normal stuff and explote ALL your feelings into your TRUE and CARING thoughts.. TO BE SEEN AS THE PERSON YOU ARE, OVER,and OVER, and OVER... SO "THEN" WE WILL ALL KNOW ONLY YOUR HEART AND MIND AND A KISS OF YOUR SOUL!!! Well, "THATS" what I do..... But if YOU are a beautiful spirit, YOU WILL SHINE and GLOW THROUGH your words, but its NOT done by SHORT little hi's and bye's, or very short comments. Its done through GIVING A STRANGER "YOUR" compassion and LOVE. Like IM GIVING THIS to YOU.. Yes, its my time and SORRY, but if YOU REALLY want to SHOW who you are. ITS DEMANDING of YOUR TIME... People need to STOP judging the book by its cover. sweetchele, don't worry, someome will come your way. My fav saying is, "you look because I'm diff, I laugh because your all the same" Rock on Northernexposure! You got that one so right.....honey, trust me, I'm right there with you.....i get guys who only check out my pics then send me some "hey, sexy" email and it's like MAN DID YOU EVEN READ IT!....I understand that the male species is a much more visual being than a woman and women are a much more feeling being.....attraction has to be there on even the smallest level I'm sorry to say.....that is the way society has programed us since the dawn of time....as well as nature...when you think about it if you had a choice of being with someone strong and virile versus lets say, a couch potatoe with little ambition, who would you think would be the best person to flourish with?....This is just being thrown out there as an example...make up your own if need be.... but it's true, our eyes are the first line of defense when it comes to finding a partner.....once the mutual attraction is there then the personality either makes the bond stronger or you find out the guy is a total ass and that makes him ugly as sin in your eyes....I don't care what anyone says, you could be the most sexy man on the planet and still be damn ugly without a good personality..... alrighty...that was long enough.....

Well I started this askng what I thought I needed to find out. I have now come to realize that it don't matter what I look like on the outside, guys will always see it first and my heart later on. I am the most loving person around and I go out of my way to make my man happy (when I have a man) but I still end up alone. I just want to share my life with a man that can love me unconditionally and allow me to love him the same way. Guess that I have also realized that looking for that man on here is really not the way to find him. Thanks to all that replied.

A good trick is not to "marry up" as women usually try to do. Perhaps going for someone in your range would be more successful.

You have to be attracted first. Thats just the plain hard truth. I know i'm not the best looking guy around. But I also know that online is alot different. If the first time we would meet ever was in person, my attitude towards you would probably be completely different because I get the personality at the same time. You just can't have the same effect with a few written words and a still picture.
