"By far the best presentation as a candidate, among all the candidates in both parties, is that of Barack Obama. But if he actually believes even half of the irresponsible nonsense he talks, he would be an utter disaster in the White House." - Thomas Sowell

Please...where is your evidence that either is a traitor? (Yes, that is actually how it is spelled). What, because one won't wear a flag lapel pin or possibly forgot to put his hand over his heart one time and both spoke out against unjust wars? I consider circumventing the US Constitution for your own personal gain more of a traitorous act than those. And our current Commander-In-Chief has done that numerous times.

Kerry proved he was a traitor, when he testified under oath before congress that every American Soldier in Viet Nam was a rapist and murderer. If Obama can't pledge alliegence to our Flag what country does he hold alliegance to? I love liberals when they can't refute the argument they nit pick the spelling laugh

The term "Winter Soldier" is a play on words of Thomas Paine in 1776 when he spoke of the Sunshine Patriot and summertime soldiers who deserted at Valley Forge because the going was rough.
We who have come here to Washington have come here because we f eel we have to be winter soldiers now. We could come back to this country; we could be quiet; we could hold our silence; we could not tell what went on in Vietnam, but we feel because of what threatens this country, the fact that the crimes threaten it, not reds, and not redcoats but the crimes which we are committing that threaten it, that we have to speak out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the campaign trail, Sen. John Forbes Kerry regularly mentions his Vietnam War combat experience, during which he received three Purple Hearts, the Silver Star and Bronze Star.

However, the Massachusetts Democrat doesn't like to talk much about how he received the awards or the time after he returned home when he was rubbing shoulders with Hanoi Jane Fonda as a much-celebrated organizer for Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), one of America's most radical pro-communist groups.

Sen. Kerry, the "noble statesman" and "highly decorated Vietnam vet" of today, is a Far cry from Kerry, the radical, hippie-like leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) in the early 1970s.

Soon after Kerry, as a Navy Lieutenant (junior grade) commanding a Swift boat in Vietnam, was awarded the Silver Star, he used an obscure Navy regulation to leave Vietnam and his crew before completing his tour of duty.

After returning home, he quit the Navy early and changed the color of his politics to become a leader of VVAW. Kerry wasted no time organizing opposition in the United States against the efforts of his former buddies still ducking communist bullets back in Vietnam.

Kerry participated in the so-called Winter Soldier Investigation where his fellow protesters accused his fellow GIs of war crimes.

Kerry's betrayal of American prisoners of war, his blatant disrespect for the families of our missing in action, Vietnam veterans, the military, his support for communist Vietnam and his waffling over the issue of use of force in Iraq proves he is a self promoting Chameleon Senator who cannot be relied on to protect the best interests of the United States.

Although Kerry voted to support military intervention in Iraq he is now claiming that he only approved the threat of force by the United States.

The followinf is a link to an article that is too long to cut and paste in here, but it gives a good time-line historical accounting of John Kerry and his actions...
http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnkerry.com/page2.html

The following is an excerpt from an article.:.
Some of his crew confided that they did not receive any fire from shore, but that Kerry had fired a mortar round at close range to some rocks on shore. The crewman thought that the injury was caused by a fragment ricocheting from that mortar round when it struck the rocks.

That seemed to fit the injury which I treated.
What I saw was a small piece of metal sticking very superficially in the skin of Kerry's arm. The metal fragment measured about 1 cm. in length and was about 2 or 3 mm in diameter. It certainly did not look like a round from a rifle.
I simply removed the piece of metal by lifting it out of the skin with forceps. I doubt that it penetrated more than 3 or 4 mm. It did not require probing to find it, did not require any anesthesia to remove it, and did not require any sutures to close the wound.
The wound was covered with a bandaid.
Not [sic] other injuries were reported and I do not recall that there was any reported damage to the boat.

With all of this, and a whole lot more left unsaid, who would seriosly be willing to look towards somebody that John Kerry supported and reccomended. We already decided as a NAtion that John Kerry could nt be trusted when he ran for President in the last campaign. Why would we take his reccomendations for Presidency, now?
I am nt saying any ofhtis is proff that John Kerry is a traitor. however, with all of this and everything else that can be found just by typing in john kerry on the internet (a real fascinating search is when you combine John Kerry with Jane Fonda), I for one would not be willing to vote for anybody that John Kerry is interested id. His interest would be an automatic "slam the door and run as fast as possible the other way" signal in my eyes.

Bearing false witness, there you go again 'garden'!!! Have you taken advantage of the Christmas holiday to load up on urban legends and diffamatory gossip?!?!?

Apart from the colorful self-serving fabulations you borrow from those whom spread them through gossip channels, there is no foundation whatsoever in 'fact' and 'reality',  for the 'traitor' accusations you bear against Kerry and Barrack.

If either of these two men have been judged and condemned on charges of treason, please educate us with 'PROOF'. Otherwise, serve yourself the same counsel you serve others, and resserch and substantiate your claims with FACTS.

Kerry proved he was a traitor, when he testified under oath before congress that every American Soldier in Viet Nam was a rapist and murderer. I am not a liberal, and I don't particularly care to nit pick on your spelling 'garden'. As for refuting your argument, there is none to refute!!!

You claim "... Kerry proved he was a traitor..." ?!?!?
Based on what proof?!?!?
Based on what facts and evidence?!?!?
To whom is Kerry a traitor?!?!?
To you personnally?!?!?

As for Obama Barrack, you also claim he is a traitor. This time you base your condemnation on nothing other than gossip turned 'urban legend'.

Have you special constitutional powers to judge and condemn others based on gossip, and your capricious prejudices?!?!?

Kerry has never been accused, much less condemned of 'treason'.

As for Obama, urban legends, and diffamatory gossip is hardly a basis to mount an attack of treason against anyone.

Refute your argument?!?!?

First 'garden', you need to think through and present an argument based on facts; worth refuting!!!

Here is a link on the whole 'pledge of allegiance' fabrication. I trust it will help you revise your attacks founded on nothing other than a diffamatory 'chain-E-mail'!!!

The good news behind ridiculous and preposterous claims such as the 'no hand on heart = traitor',

... is that when the blinders wearing 'right' or 'left', one-track mind zealots, find nothing else, and need to resort to such pathetic 'McCarthy' like smoke and mirror 'dirt', lies and innuendos,

... it builds the case for the record and character of those they attack to be whiter than white !!!

I could careless about 'persuading' YOUR vote 'hellkitten54'!!!

'gardenforge' is the one you should address in that regard.

My point, which you have obviously missed, was to denounce the unfounded and fallacious 'dirt' some people use in trying to 'persuade' YOUR vote 'hellkitten54'.

Think what you will of any candidates, 'hellkitten54', that is your priviledge.

My point is simply that such significant choices deserve to be based on facts, and not gossipy, self-serving 'urban legends' aimed at spreading unfounded calumnious attacks.

Fair enough, my apologies for assuming.

So if not directed at me, what exactly did you mean by your comment?!?!?

Would it be that you find 'dirt' based arguments, such as the one 'gardenforge' makes here, irrelevant and impertinent in basing your own choices?!?!?

:)

Kerry is going to be a good source of campaign funds and pr people for Obama but Kerry himself does not impress me with his flip flopping on the issues.
