Neither. But i do think making someone live out the rest of their days in solitary confinement would be way worse punishment.

I'm not sure, so maybe I shouldnt answer lol. I feel like if someone murder someone i loved out of cold blood I'd want them to die. But, think of all the people who were innocent and either got released or are dead. hahaha im so indecisive

Against, just saw another man who got freed tonight on the news from DNA, We cannot take the chance on legally killing an innocent person. So we should not kill anyone legally.

they say it is better for a thousand guilty men to go free than to send one innocent man to prison

yet, we know for a fact hundreds of innocent people have been sentenced to death and put to death

the death penalty is justified when guilt is present, but our American justice system has far too many flaws to adequately implement the death penalty

that's my 2 cents

I have mixed feelings about it.

Sometimes I feel it's wrong,
but then I think of the
monstrous crimes that are
done and how people should
account for them.

Would you feel the
same way if someone
you loved was tortured
over a long period of
time, then put to death
or left to die by
the person now on
death row?

Or would you let
them serve out
the remainder
of their lives
incarcerated,
but know that
someday that
person could
be paroled?

Im all about Redemption, I think people can change if it is in there hearts to do so. If its not then they are not truly human, and should be caged the rest of there lives. There are so many punishments that can be reversed on error and death cant so hands down i think it should be abolished

How do you know if they've
changed or not?

There's a lot of people
that can play games with
the law and the prison
system, fooling everyone
into thinking they've
reformed when they haven't.

There are Rigourous tasks that need to be implimented. Im talkin about Chain Gangs building our roads and government offices. Im talkin about therepy so vigourios that DR. Phil would cry. Im talkin about these inmates building our sewers and any other job that needs to be done that the tax payers(the middle class) pay 4. There are over 2 million people in Americas prison system and there doin what with there time? To work in Prison is a privilage, where i think it should be mandatory!

When people are forced to relize what they have done only then can they come to terms with it and reconcile

I think since we like reality TV so much, we sould put a few hundred of them at a time on an deserted island with 1 bucket of KFC and see what happens.

We pay to take care of these animals that commit these violent crimes, so why not get our moneys worth.

Personaly I think we should reinstate public executions. Let the general public see first hand what happens when you murder your wife, girfriend, boyfriend, husband, child, or even the old guy at the convienent story down the street. Sure it's not the complete answer to fixing our screwed up justice system, but it's a damd good start, and cheap too!

Attila the hun is dead and so should be his ways. Put there butts to work repairing everything that needs it. That would all and all be a tax relief to us law abiding citizens and get stuff done finally

I THINK IT DEPEND ON THE CASE-BUT IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE IN PRISON FOR LIFE I CAN THINK OF BETTER THINGS MY TAX MONEY COULD PAY FOR.
