Okay, I've had enough with these rate my profile thingys..... Why couldn't they have put another topic in it's place like, "What to put on Club Crackers" or "Why does the peanut butter or butter side ALWAYS fall first" Don't get it. If you want your profile read....wait and have people read it themselves and be patient!!!!! I'm not saying this to offend anyone or trying to start an argument.... Just think something better could've been thrown in there.... This is just my opinion...

Cause the peanut butter weighs down the side of the bread and starts a small rotation, but the weight always centers on that side of the bread......

Geez, if someone messages you, obviously they rated you good, if they don't, then the didn't, and if they just look alot but don't message, they're probably stalking you.

Totally agree, you have the option to look at what and who you want.

it's just for fun, just people that can't handle what others say. Shouldn't be playing where it might effect them.

The reality of it is that the admins decided there were enough "Rate Me" and "Am I Datable?" and "What Do You Think?" and "Do You Like This Pic?" threads in the other forums, so that it warranted a separate forum to clump all of that stuff together so it wouldn't clog up General and Relationship Advice, etc.

And, seeing as how this IS a dating site, there is going to be a certain amount of rating going on. It just goes with the territory. People want to get a sense of how and where they "fit in," if at all, what their "prospects" may or may not be. I personally don't put a lot of stock in other people's opinions, but then I'm not looking for a date, either.

I agree that I would have preferred to see some other forums added first -- and I've mentioned a number of other options in other threads. But I can also understand why they decided to do it this way.

I don't rate a lot of profiles myself -- sometimes if it's someone I've known for awhile, or a new person who gets my attention, for whatever reason -- but I don't spend a lot of time on that. Nor have I ever asked to have my own profile rated -- I get plenty of that anyway, through e-mail, and that's good enough for me.

And, to be honest, I find "Rate My Profile" a whole hell of a lot less annoying than the interminable "I'm bored and have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say" threads.
