Topic: Hilton Head?

I want to take my kids to Hilton Head for the weekend. Anyone in the area, what is there to do, where to stay etc. Its only about 3 hours from here which is about equivialant to the drive to Orlando which we do ALL the time. I wanted something different.

Why don't you go a bit farther north to Charleston? I think there is a whole lot more there than in HH.

ive been to hilton head, its very beautiful and more of a golf reasort but all that spanish moss and all the gardens are nice, eye candy

Why don't you go a bit farther north to Charleston? I think there is a whole lot more there than in HH. yea Charleston is like 4 more hours according to mapquest. I was aiming for either Savannah or HH. I think my strange intrests would be great for Savannah, but not so much for the kids.

Ok Strange interests? and I think Savannah would have more to offer than HH. HH is more for golfers and such. It's to stuffy for me.

I'm with MBDude, Savannah's great. Don't know how old your kids are, but I'd bet there'd be plenty for them to do. It's been a while since I've been there, though. Used to live in Charleston and for the extra hour or so, Charleston's got a lot to interest kids. I took my son and 2 nephews (ages 11, 10, 7)there last time we were in Myrtle, and they loved it. Hilton Head's ok, but all they really have is golf and the beach.

If your gonna be around that area Myrtle Beach has alot of things to do!!
