I want to take my kids to Hilton Head for the weekend. Anyone in the area, what is there to do, where to stay etc. Its only about 3 hours from here which is about equivialant to the drive to Orlando which we do ALL the time. I wanted something different.

Why don't you go a bit farther north to Charleston? I think there is a whole lot more there than in HH.

ive been to hilton head, its very beautiful and more of a golf reasort but all that spanish moss and all the gardens are nice, eye candy

Why don't you go a bit farther north to Charleston? I think there is a whole lot more there than in HH. yea Charleston is like 4 more hours according to mapquest. I was aiming for either Savannah or HH. I think my strange intrests would be great for Savannah, but not so much for the kids. |

I'm with MBDude, Savannah's great. Don't know how old your kids are, but I'd bet there'd be plenty for them to do. It's been a while since I've been there, though. Used to live in Charleston and for the extra hour or so, Charleston's got a lot to interest kids. I took my son and 2 nephews (ages 11, 10, 7)there last time we were in Myrtle, and they loved it.
