well i know of one
my friend paul meant his soon to be wife and mother of his second kid on myspace
he lives here in PA and shes in texas still and they are happy as hell

i think they can work but the trust has to be really there between people and it takes money to travel back and forth

as i know them as well.. i do truley beleve they will be fine....
tehy are both great people and they really love eachother..

I totally think they can work ~ it depends on the two people involved and the circumstances of course, just as it would if you were a mile apart.

I know of quite a few successful long distance relationships ~ one of them is even 9 hours apart in time zones.

It takes trust, patience, respect and compatible priorities ~ as in any relationship .... and a little bit more money for travel.

It depends on the two people, their needs and wants and their feelings for each other.
If it's love ~ it can work.

I don't think long distance works! I met someone in New Zealand and we talked for about a year. He flew here to the states and then I flew back with him. You have to figure the 9000 miles plays a lot with your emotions!
Neither one of us had lots of money to fly back and forth all the time, so we both decided it would be best to end the relationship. I truly believe that LDR are way over-rated! I myself will NEVER get involved in another one. Its way to hard on my heart!! brokenheart

I'd love to prove you wrong also, but the most long distance I can afford right now is as far as the El Train goes…I think long distance relationships are much more of a commitment than regular relationships, because you have to love the person enough to resist any other temptations. And that can be hard sometimes, especially if you don't know what you want. However, if a long distance relationship does work, I think it will be strong and loving.

Ill tell you this guys ive been looking for relationships on here for only 2 weeks and i found the love of my life and she is in indiana i am in texas and she the most wonderfull person in the world and she is my everything. she just sent me this letter her name is jessica and she just proved you guys wrong here is her letter she just sent to me. simply put she is wonderfull.
hey baby i know i tell you this all the time i just cant wait until the day i can say i love you baby to your face i just cant wait to be in your arms your just the best person thats ever happened in my life. i swear to you that. i promise everything i tell you is true and it does come from the heart even though its only been 2 weeks lol i just love you so much your my baby for life and i hope one day you can be more than just my b/f i really do mean that. wow, this is amazing! it will be so perfect when im finally in your arms. if anything i am willing to do anything as long as it was with you. i dont want it to seem like im rushing things but if we were to the point of you asking me to marry you i'd say yes without any hesitation at all otherwise just kiss you lol or both maybe the other way around me kissing you then saying yes i dont know lol but either way i love you and i always will no matter what! xoxoxoxoxoxox

Be careful with stuff like this. You've only known each other for 2 WEEKS which is no time at all... and you haven't met in person yet. I met someone online when I lived in AZ and they lived in SC... which was about 2,000 miles away. We were friends for 1 1/2 years, in which I visited him twice (he paid half and I paid half). At the end of the year and a half of every day phone calls and letters and emails, I moved there to be with him. In person, when we were finally together and the fantasy of being together was finally realized, we no longer had things to talk about. Our relationship only lasted 6 months and I had to move back to California to start my life over by myself. I don't regret taking the chance, but I've been paying for it ever since. Be careful in rushing things. You can only truly see if two people will last together if you are actually TOGETHER. In person. Good luck!

That's why I have this little club called F it for a while. I'm not in a huge rush considering my previous endeavors. I know theres somebody out there... they're probably just hiding in a cave or something.
