in those days it was a mans world. Today, in the church, its still a
mans world. Even Nuns are considered second class in the church. I do
not think it will change no matter what anyone says.... untill we have a
female POPE *S* (yeah like that will happen)

it isn't just you zero. i haven't had a chance to see the movie but
there are certain things that the leaders of organized religion don't
want you to know. i have issues with the idea of don't ask questions
just do as i say with no explanation but that is how alot of them are
set up. i believe in GOD but i think that the early fundamentalists or
fantaitcs weren't opposed to twisting and hiding the truth to further
their cause. i follow the tenets of the bible like any moral person
would(whether religious or not)but i think man has had a huge impact on
the bible itself.my personal belief is that jesus was a man blessed by
GOD.

yeah the men in the times of Jesus couldn't handle the fact that a woman
could play any role but that of a righteous one.

The fact that Magdalina was a loose woman. No man, in the time of
Jesus, would let a loose woman be the wife of Jesus. Let alone be the
mother of HIS children.

well the bible tells you in the last days there will be false prophets
and warns you to not fall under their influence as for Jesus being an
"average" man yes he was that's the whole point of it all, he was the
son of God. God wanted you to see that you could be good. Only thing was
we actually couldn't be like Jesus. That is why in the end he had to
give his life for ours. Just like Moses was a normal everyday man, he
was able to accomplish stuff but it was God working through him. Jesus
was the son of God believe it or not, we all have the freedom to choose.
The bible has many wonderful forecasts (predictions) in it that are
coming true all the time if one only takes the time to read it. If
something written so long ago can be so accurate, how can it not be
true?

Actually KB, there are about 12 or 16 books(I can't remember now lol)
that were NOT included in the New Testament. So as far as the New
Testament goes, someone DID decide what was going to be excluded.

And as for who Jesus really was. It's all semantics anyway. Jesus walked
the Earth AS a man. Altho he was able to perform MANY miracles he was
still a man. This can especially be seen just before his crucifiction,
when, in the Garden of Gethsemane, he had very human doubts and
beseeched His Holy Father to make sure that this was all part of His
greater plan.
He showed also anger, when he chased the vendors from the church and
trashed the place.

The fact that the Jewish Rabbis at the time had such a fear of
Him(because they really did believe in a strange way that Jesus MIGHT
just be the son of God)and wanted to ensure that THEIR belief system was
undisturbed by setting Him up, could well lead one to believe that Jesus
was MUCH more than just a man as he walked amongst His ppl.
Jesus existence is acknowledged by more than just the Christian faith,
as are His deeds. Yes Jesus did exist, but I don't believe he was JUST a
man.
His miracles are also well documented and not just performed in privacy.
He raised the dead(Lazurus). He cured lepers with just a touch, he fed
multitudes with just a couple of loaves and fishes. These are not feats
that can be accomplished by a mere human. He cured the blind, the deaf,
the lame, and all with a touch.
But, that's just my opnion and belief. lol

This is late and out of order and inspired by tneal.
Jesus Lives to lift us up. Not so we could rule over our
brother/sister, but so we could have spiritual life and in turn lift
somebody else up.
My thoughts are the following: The *lowest person* on earth is Gods
Highest Treasure.

I think more people learned the rules of HYPE from Jesus than he got
schooled in it. Just a thought.

About Jesus Christ.
Would it be faith if I could prove it?

I havent seen the movie yet. but I did read the book, twice. Going on
the third time. First time i flew threw the book in 2 days (have kids
otherwise it would have been in a few hours). I found it very
interesting about the entire subject of the Holy Grail. I honestly do
believe that Mary Madgelene was NOT a prostitute like the Bible totes.
With everything going on in the world today, makes me wonder if God is
trying to tell us that the Bible is not everything we are led to
believe. We need to educate ourselves and decide that truth. I have been
baptized Lutheran, but I do not attend church (since 1998). I honestly
believe that if God ended the Earth tomorrow, the entire truth would be
spilled out for all of us, and those that blindly follow the church
leaders like zombies will have a completely different outlook on those
leaders and smack themselves for not questioning the ideals laid before
them.

Hi Zero_Effected
I intended the following:

Would it be faith if I could prove Jesus Christ Is The Son Of God?

This is the trickey part. (lol)

[Holy Bible NIV] Hebrews 11:1
[ By Faith ] Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of
what we do not see.

John 3:16 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a]
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Ok so If I am wrong you lose a couple of bucks and actually learn
about Jesus Christ and how he differs so much from Mankind and meet lots
of people on thier best behavior
and believe in a much higher power than even you(lol).

And if I am right, then you live your life free from
paying the price of sin and go to heaven where all the answeres are and
not to mention a whole new life NOW, full of brand new challenges and
you could be a Warrior Princess with Arrows of Fire and a full arsonal
of deadly weapons.

I answered all the questions you asked all about the Holy Bible but
could not post them because it would take to much research and My belief
is not bullet proof like some people I know..(lol).
So I rest My head and heart knowing that God's strength is perfected in
MY weakness and I only have one Arrow left.

That is a good question Zero_E.

I give up....what is the answere. lol

Because the proof would scare the pooh out of most mortals,
escpecially me, faith could be the path of least resistance.
When that runs it's course then "Seek Me And You Will Find Me".
Flipside...Seek the bad in people and you find it...seek the weakness
in church and you will find it, seek the gossip and you will find them.
So Concrning spiritual matters, What you are looking for you will
find.
Not so much as to what the church can do for people but what the
people can do for the church.
You can change the world!

claiming to see things and having followers does not make you a devine
person if so, then hell David Koresh was devine. Not of the bs matters
anyhow, it all boils down to faith and believing. either you do or you
don't. You seek or you shun. There are works of God performed all the
time and science and people always look for other reasons to explain the
mind bending circumstances Never stopped before and not about to now. I
want to share a couple of stories, One a lady with MS has not walked in
years, the disease has dibilatated her body to the point she was
confined to a wheelchair for several years and no hope of ever getting
better. One day she's sitting on a toilet doing whatever she was doing
there. Suddenly a bolt of lightning comes into the building and strikes
the woman right there on the pot. Now the lady is cured of her MS, can
walk, run and do all the things she hasn't done for so long, she almost
forgot what it was like. What would you call this? I know what I call
it, but I truly believe it God and all of his power and glory. Someone
that doesn't, will find an excuse for the events that took place on that
day and the results. This happened not all that long ago. Another
story is of a tornado that wreaked havoc on a town or city in the south,
this happened many years ago. After the storm had passed and all the
destrution was able to be seen, something else was seen also by
thousands of people and made it's way into the newspaper and television
across the country, it was a cloud formation in the shape of a robe with
sandled feet and hands put together like in a prayer form, only thing
not visible was a head. Clouda can look like many things at anytime but
for clouds to take on this form at this time with the exactness of form
that it had is totally unheard of but skeptics and non believers still
found a way to describe it. The bible says that people will denounce God
and dispute his existence, of course they will, they always have and
always will. For the believers and some not so sure people these were
events where God showed us that he still performs miracles to this day
and will for eternity. We either see them or make excuses for them.
Either way the miracles are still there. A special little note to the
non believers out there, The bible also makes predictions for diseases
towards the end of the earth and there are so many more diseases showing
up in the past 100 years that it's ridiculous not to see what's right in
front of your face, like aids and bird flu just to name a couple, bird
flu is not a bad thing on people right now, but was a terrible disease
back in the early 1900's, killed millions of people. I know, "well this
was a long time ago", yeah it was a long time ago to us, but as far as
the age of the earth goes it was a very recent event and threatens to
make another debut.

well Zero, you raise some interesting points about my post. And yes, all
your examples could make sense when we apply how society thinks today
about such events. BUT, I've never seen ANYONE feed several hundred ppl
with only a couple of fishes and loaves of bread.
The final point about who Jesus really was comes after his crucifiction.
Where did his body go?? The Romans sure weren't gonna remove it cuz that
would make it seem like the prophecy came true. Did His followers remove
Him? Unlikely, they would have had to be a big group to move the stone
from His resting place and that would have drawn the attention of the
guards. Not to mention the noise it would make. So WHERE did his body
go? And finally, why in the WORLD would the Romans and the Jews
basically work together to kill Jesus? They didn't exactly like the
romans being there. Why were these 2 groups so afraid of ONE man that
did nothing but good? Because he threatened to upset the status quo.
Augustus would NOT have been emperor of the known world if it turned out
Christ was who he claimed to be and the Jews would have been upset
because it would mean the "end" of their "personal relationship" with
God. Funny part is, the Romans ended up becoming the largest bulwark of
Christianity for centuries after.

We are to follow the commandments laid out in the old testament, but not
necessarily the "laws". The Old testament laws were done away with when
Jesus Christ was born. Instead of animal sacrifices, we are now saved by
FIRST: admitting we are all sinners and TWO: confessing our sin (daily
if necessary, to GOD, not a priest, unless you just want to) and THREE:
Believe in the blood of Jesus Christ and that by His blood we are
forgiven of our sins...God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and The Holy
Spirit (which lives within us)
The movie...complete myth and a movie vaguely based onm the biblical
truths to confuse thoise that haf heartedly believe and that are looking
for an excuse not to surrender complete authority to the Lord above, our
creator and God of all...

Just an opinion, not to ruffle any feathers...I usually stay out of this
forum because I do not wnat to offend anyone, so take it however you
want.
We all have free will to believe what we want to believe...that is the
beauty of the world...

The Movie was great....but yet and still a story based on fictious
nonsense.... but the one truth about it is that it
exploits the Catholic Church, inregards to their issues of keeping
secrets with regards to the priests and their matters.
So no...the Movie was just that....a piece of entertainment...
praise, Hollywood.... besides, if it were true.... would it actually be
in France.... cmon....!
