At what point in our life did we lose our imagination? Imagination, and dreams are the essentials of what shape us and drive us in life. It seems at some point we lose that, for the most part, and we settle into the same life that has been for generations. 2.5 kids white picked fence, blah blah.. Ok to be fair for some maybe that was a dream, but remember when you were a kid, you could walk on the moon, you could fly through the air, nothing seemed impossible, even the most impossible seemed plausible..How many of you reading this, dreamed of being a rock star, or a movie star, or whatever the dream may have been, but at some point settled into the same life, as our parents, or just something so far away from your dreams? Imagination equals innovation, and dreams equal true happiness. Dreaming gives us hope, and goals, reasons to strive for something better. Don't settle for less than everything you ever wanted, no matter what that is. Dreaming while asleep, is easy even for a fool, but to hold that in your wakened days, breeds hope..

We loose it? Why? I didn't. At least I don't think I did. Maybe that Jabberwockie in the corner of your room stole it from you and you just thought you lost it....

when we stayed in house with 24 hour cartoons and video games and dolls that did everything for you- thats when we lost our imagination

Hahaha, I didn't lose it, I am living my dream, but i see so many around me, unhappy with life in general, or full of regret, from thinking what might have been, and it just got me thinking..happy

Cheers to that. It is unfortunate that people lose their imaginations. Even as generations come and go we use imagination less and less. When I was a kid we would play army outside and use tree branches as guns and stuff, and we had a blast doing it. Nowadays, video games require one to have no imagination, and that is a pretty crippling thing. I truly believe the human race is losing its brainpower because we want to make everything idiot-proof. Muscle that does not get used atrophies. Why make things idiot-proof? Why not raise intelligence standards? Otherwise our evolution is going to plateau, and then decline. I could go on and on and on about this, but I'm running on no sleep.laugh

Eventually we all lose it. You are just taking longer than most. At some point the reality comes crashing in & your imagination becomes a casualty to reality.

Reality comes crashing? Some of had to be the responsible ones growing up. And decided to reclaim our lost youth by indulging in it now. But the nice thing is we can do it a lot more safely knowing what we know now and didn't know then. And can cut loose and have a ton of fun. We should never allow anyone to take our imagination. It is part of how we are able to have dreams and hopes and desires. It is what makes us step out and take the risks to grab for the things we really want, even when everyone else tells us it is too far out of our reach.

No risk, no reward. If you set out to do something truly great, people will always think you're crazy at first. People called Bill Gates crazy, now look at him. Just goes to show people that you shouldn't judge too quickly, 'cause most of the time you'll just end up looking stupid. laugh

I am going to try out for the new roller derby league in celebration of my 40th b-day. I've wanted to do that since I was a kid, but roller derby faded out for a while. I love to skate and knock people around a bit.....it's like livin' the dream, man..............drinker
