I have to write a 5 page paper imitating Walter Pater's style of critiquing art and I have to choose and art piece to critique. Any suggestions?

(It can be a parody, so something silly is acceptable too)

Dali has many great paintings...too many infact. It'd be hard suggesting a piece. perhaps you could choose something more relevant to you, making it easier to critique. I personally would have gone with Van Gogh's Starry Night. I love the thick texture of paint on canvas. To me, that is the most poetic piece of art i have ever seen. i see beauty, i see pain, and mostly, i see peace.
