i would never, ever date a hunter, and i'm very passionate about animal rights. meat does not enter my house.
that said, "hate" is a very strong and adversarial word... although i do understand the feeling of frustration one gets when others try and convince you to "give them a chance". i can't tell you how many men have tried to make me believe that i could...enjoy hunting with them. *shrugs* just remember, these forums are for everyone...and to instigate trouble could be seen as a violation of JSH rules. don't be surprised if this thread gets yanked. |

If they hunt to provide food for their tables, what is wrong with that? people don't need to do a lot of things that they do...meat in a grocery store is very expensive - some of the families in the country here in rural PA are poor - without that meat it would be difficult for them to make it through the winter..I don't think it is right to hate them for that. |

But I don't have the patience to hunt, nor do I find it entertaining. But I fish, never keep anything, because its really just a good reason to drink beer on the lake. |

Grow corn or something...people don't need to kill living creatures to survive Man is a carnivore, it is your personal choice to eat only vegetables. And if you kill an animal for food it is not for amusement, it is for consumption. With all the chemicals being pumped into cows and chickens that are sold on the grocery stores shelves, the ones they kill themselves are better for you. Not the cows and chickens I mean, but the deer and elk and other wildlife. |

how hard is it for people to understand that if people didn't hunt,we would be over populated with Deer,Turkey,Squirrel....etc???
