a serious accident which has left you in a vegetative state. Do you say screw it and have them pull the plug, or do you think there is always hope and want to stay alive?

i have a friend that i had known sense i was little, and 23yrs ago she was in a car accedent with her bf, as they had been driving back from santiam pass and he fliped the car, she died, and i had talked to her just a week before, she was always on the go, as where i knew her as the type to never sit still...my mom and i were saying if angie would had lived she would had been a vegtable and she wouldnt of had wanted that.... when my son was sick and we almost lost him, they were going to give him a week and if there would had not been any improvment they were going to pull the plug.. it was so hard to see the way he was... he seem to be doing good now and hes celebrating his 21st birthday on st,patricks day

I think I'd want my family to be able to get on with their lives, so I would say pull the plug.

I think its very easy to say pull the plug.....yet if it were my son I would do everything and anything to save his life......and pray for some sort of miracle!!! Now in real life, where I do see death all the time....its a completely different ball game!! I can say its for the best bla blablaaaaaaaaaa......but its not my family!! For myself, I would like at least a few weeks to try to recover and prove the docs wrong, because 90% of the time they are wrong....and if they are right.......then most definately.......brain dead.......pull the plug!
